NYU SHRM Board Adds 2 Officers

NYU SHRM is expanding its Board Officers from 6 to 8 for 2013-2014, adding an Alumni Relations Director and splitting the PR Director/Student Council Rep into two separate positions.

In order to strengthen the involvement of alumni in our chapter and plan events of interest to alumni, we added the Alumni Relations Director position. We felt it is important to have an officer dedicated to alumni outreach and engagement, and a specific individual as a point of contact for HRMD alumni. We greatly value the input and participation of HRMD alumni. Martha Liliana Garces Jaramillo will serve as our first Alumni Relations Director.

We also felt it was the right time to separate the roles of PR Director and Student Council Rep as both responsibilities have grown over the past year. During 2012-2013, we added a Chapter newsletter and became much more active on social media while both the fall and spring PR/SC officer holders took on the added responsibilities of SC e-board leadership positions. For 2013-2014, Sejal Daftari returns as Student Council Rep. She served as Co-Treasurer on the SC e-board during the spring semester. Stacie Zhang is the new PR Director.

Other new officers are Ashli Aldrich (Vice President),
Elizabeth Guzzetti (Treasurer), May Ali Khojali (Secretary) and Serra Vidinli Dedeoglu (Communication Director).

We are looking forward to an exciting year!
