On Thursdays, the Art Institute of Chicago is free for residents. I usually only have a couple hours to browse before doors close at 8p, and it’s just enough time to breeze through half of the museum. These are a couple of my favorites, but I can’t say why. Photos were taken from my iPhone, so it’s no HD scan, but it’s more unique this way.

Gibson is an iconic brand and the American maker of fine guitars and other musical instruments. A bit about Gibson guitar history, Gibson originally began designing mandolins back in 1898 and by 1902, the company began to market other musical instruments. By the 1950s, Gibson began to design and manufacture modern guitars. Gibson, today, is considered one of the best makers of fretted instruments.
