In some land somewhere outside of Sweetwater Texas they made a road steep enough that our ramblin’ van couldn’t make it up – thus, everyone decided to skate down it…  Since this is Texas, it’s fitting that they place very large kicker ramps on the already large road to spice it up a bit.  After the half day drive and full day hiking party BBQ some fresh legs went to work…  The locals were crushing, particularly homies Will Goins, Zac Sharp and Nick Hayes.  Aaron From the Block started the 180 radness off the massive kicker and after Aaron rolled his ankle dude Nick took it to another level.  Some ball-droppingly lofty backside 180’s, admittedly some of the largest our eyes have ever seen…  respect.  Jenson put a little blueberry sauce on the ramp and started tweaking airs like it was on a manageable piece of lumber!
Blake Smith spun down the hill with style and grace while Anthony Flis made everyone re-consider what was possible on a double kick at high speeds.  Pepper decided to get after it in the longest slide event, toeside.  Local Nick Hayes again handedly took the cake but in Pepper’s effort to hang meat he highsided exceptionally hard and slammed his peppery knee really well.  As he limped off we all smiled and got stoked for camping and cliff jumps…  Big thanks to Carve Skate Shop for putting the event together, contributing many ramps and big smiles!
