Tawny: Thanks for taking me around town today, Mister Zig Zag. I had a lot of fun!
Zig: It was my pleasure! I think we both needed a nice day off together.
Tawny: I got ta meet new ponies and go shopping and play in the snow and… this is the best holiday ever!
((Wow, what can I say?
Well, first off, to say it plainly, I apologize for being a lazy-ass these past few weeks. I don’t know why you’re still following me or why you newer folks started following me even though my blog’s been super dead, but I appreciate all 419 of you for putting up with my shenanigans! I’ll be getting back to my regular updates in a jiffy!
This update features, clockwise from the top left:
Two stray dogs turned up on my family’s farm over the weekend— one is too scared to come out of the woods except to eat the food left out for him, but the other is super friendly and has decided he belongs in a chair on the front porch (he’s been nicknamed Niblett by my sister and he’s beautiful!)
About four years ago another pit-looking stray came around and was taken in, and like these two, she was skin and bones. I’m not sure what’s up with these starved dogs showing up out there in the middle of nowhere :(
Scout Niblett has a new album on deck and this is our first peak at it. “Gun” is a pre-meditative day dream about avenging a lover’s disloyalty. Dirge-like in cadence, it makes me think of The Doors’ “The End,” but darker. Intense. I love it.
