TUESDAYS TRENDS.....

THE NO MAKEUP, MAKEUP LOOK!

This is one of the most popular looks that is a must this coming Spring!

Who do YOU know can roll out of bed looking this fresh-faced and GORGE. Yeah, we hate to burst your bubble, but the no-makeup makeup look actually requires a bit of prep work. The good news—it’s a waaaayyyyy faster (and fool-proof) makeup routine to snag than the whole red lip + cat eye ensemble.

Step 1 Moisturize and even out your skin tone with a tinted lotion, like Tarte Smooth Operator Natural Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20 ($36, ulta.com), which is infused with sunscreen to protect your complexion from skin-damaging UV rays.

Step 2 Disguise flaws (breakouts, undereye circles, etc.) with a concealer like Maybelline Mineral Power Concealer ($6.99, drugstore.com). One with a small applicator tip will help reign in a heavy hand and prevent caking.

Step 3 If your skin gets shiny, sweep on a light dusting of oil-absorbing powder. Shiseido Translucent Pressed Powder ($32, sephora.com) will leave an unnoticeable veil of shine-blocker.

Step 4 Apply a warm peach or pink cream blush to the apples of your cheeks. NARS Cream Blush in Penny Lane ($27, sephora.com) gives skin a natural flush.

Step 5 Brighten eyes by blending a champagne-colored shadow like Urban Decay Delux Eyeshadow in Ruthless ($18, urbandecay.com) onto the center of your eyelids, the brow bones, and the inner corners of your eyes.

Step 6 Lightly dot a gray or brown eyeliner pencil like CoverGirl Perfect Blend Eye Pencil in Smoky Taupe ($5.29, drugstore.com) between your top lashes and blend gently with your pinky.

Step 7 Use your fingertip to dab on a pretty lip tint like Korres Guava Lipstick in Rose ($22, korresusa.com) that matches the natural shade of your lips.

THE KEY IS TO KEEP EVERYTHING DEWY AND NEUTRAL, NOT MATTE! ** ALSO, SKIP BROW PENCIL AND USE A BROW POWDER WITH AN ANGLE BRUSH THAT MATCHES YOUR NATURAL HAIR COLOR, OR EVEN BETTER, TAKE A BROW BRUSH AND SPRITZ HAIRSPRAY AND JUST BRUSH YOUR BROWS INTO SHAPE. ** ANOTHER TIP, BEFORE YOU MOISTURIZE, EXFOLIATE YOUR SKIN AND APPLY A FACE TANNING MOUSSE OR CREAM (LIKE ST TROPEZ) YOU WILL BE AMAZED AT HOW HEALTHY YOU LOOK :)

**  AND STICK TO THESE SHADES FOR EYESHADOW, GOLDS, CREAM, BRONZE…NOTICE THE MINIMAL EYELINER? PUT A NUDE SHADE EYELINER INSIDE YOUR WATERLINE! So try this look, get your No Makeup, Makeup Look! By Candice Manacchio XOXO

True Meaning Of Family...

THE BEAUTY OF FAMILY IS NO MATTER WHAT YOUR THERE FOREVER. WETHER YOU LIKE EACH OTHER ONE DAY AND NOT THE NEXT.

I HAVE 2 SISTERS AND 1 BROTHER, AND EVEN THOUGH WE ARE NOT ALWAYS WITH EACH OTHER, WE ARE SO CLOSE. IT TAKES A LOT TO FINALLY FET US TOGETHER LIKE THIS FOR A NIGHT OUT. WE ARE ALL DIFFERENT AGES AND HAVE DIFFERENT LIVES. BUT WHEN WE FINALLY DO GET TOGETHER IT IS LIKE WE JUST WERE TOGETHER YESTERDAY.

YOUR FAMILY IS TRULY THE ONLY ONES YOU CAN TRUST. YOU CAN BE BRUTALLY HONEST WITH EACH OTHER AND BE SO MAD, BUT YOU WILL ALWAYS LOVE THEM. ME AND MY SISTERS NEVER STABBED EACH OTHER IN THE BACK, TALKED BEHIND THERE BACK ( WELL WE DO) BUT WE EVENTUALLY SAY WHAT WE NEED TO EACH OTHERS FACE, AND WE ARE EACH OTHERS FANS.

THE TWO IN THE PIC ARE THE YOUNGEST, AND THE SISTER BELOW IS THE CLOSEST IN AGE TO ME, BUT YET WE ARE ALL LIKE THE SAME AGE, YOU WOULDN’T EVEN KNOW IT WHEN WE ARE ALL TOGETHER.

I LOVE MY FAMILY, THEY SAY FRIENDS AND RELATIONSHIPS CAN COME AND GO, OR JUST CHANGE OVER THE YEARS AND GROW APART BUT FAMILY IS FOREVER, LIKE IT OR NOT THEY ARE THERE FOREVER :)

The nails of NY Fashion Week! The nail art trends that let you recreate the look of the runway at home

Intricately detailed manicures have gone way beyond rhinestones, crystals and decals – in recent seasons, no designer would think of sending a model down the runway without a signature polish job, specially coordinated to compliment the collection.

Fashion designers are taking hands-on approach to the manicure.

Nail art, once associated with cheesy decals, has become nail fashion – and no designer would think of sending a model down the runway without a signature polish, specially coordinated to complement the colors and theme of a collection.

“Nails are the ulimate accessory,” said Candice Manacchio, a nail and fashion expert from CND Nails. “They’re just as important as your hair, your makeup, your iPhone case and your shoes for putting together a coordinated look.”

Some designers choose to keep it simple – others demand mini-masterpieces.

One particularly gasp-worthy example? The “woven” nails at Rodarte, which wowed its attendees with its “Modern Medieval” theme on Tuesday at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week.

In order to create the “basket-weave” look, ten CND nail stylists hand painted each nail tip. Next, they painted pieces of wax paper a subtly different color and then sliced them into slivers.

Using tweezers, they wove the strips into a lattice.

Each set has 22 nail tips, to accommodate the varying nail size of each model.

“There were so many left over,” said Manacchio. “It was a little heartbreaking after so much work.”

Her team spent over 200 hours creating 30 complete sets of nails. That’s 15 minutes per nail.

Designers work with companies like CND, Essie, OPI, Deborah Lippmann and Dashing Diva to create eye-popping manicures with contrasting colors, patterns, textures and dimensions.

Still, doesn’t it seem like a lot of work? After all, aren’t people looking at the clothes, not the makeup?

“The nails are becoming more and more important,” said CND rep Hannah Longman. “The photos of the manicure will be appearing online and in magazines for months. And besides, it’s a piece of the collection that fashion fans can actually imitate at home – for a very small cost.”

The best thing about nail fashion is that you can be as creative or detailed as you want to create a runway look.

While it may look like Manacchio used an expensive paintbrush to create the black and silver nails for Nicole Miller, the truth was much more budget-friendly.

“I dipped the edge of a makeup sponge in polish after creating the diamond pattern,” she said. “That’s all.”

A great place to start? A colorful take on the simple French manicure.

“Seafoam green was huge on the runway,” she said. “Why not paint the nail while and create a green tip?  Or vice versa?”

Some designers stepped away from nail art this season, choosing to stick with simple grey pinks and rose shades.

Victoria Beckham, Christian Siriano, Donna Karan and Elie Tahari chose to stick with pale pink and nearly nude polishes.

The nail brand Zoya teamed up with Peter Som, delivering soft shades of pink, lilac, silver, sea green and this season’s signature color: tangerine.
