We walked around the mall for a while, walking in shops here and there, but nothing really caught our eye. So we headed to the food court to calm our growling bellies. “So, what do you want?” I asked Makenzi, looking around at the broad display of venues. ” Hm, I don’t know I kind of want Italian, but I kind of want Chinese, ya know?” I laughed, “Yeah, I know. I think I’ll get Chinese, do you want Italian?” Makenzi was about to speak but was interrupted but a girl walking towards us.
“Oh my gosh! You like Owl City?” She was pointing at Makenzi’s shirt. Makenzi nodded and laughed, “Yeah, we both do.” The girl was pretty, she had blonde hair and blue eyes, she looked about 25 or younger. “That’s awesome! I do too! Oh I’m sorry, I’m Janine!” We introduced ourselves, and sat down at a nearby table, “Are you going to the concert tonight?” She asked excitedly, we both smiled and nodded enthusiastically, “Yes! Are you?” She grinned and nodded her head, “I’m really excite-“
“Excuse me? Sorry, I didn’t mean to interupt, but I heard you talking about Owl City.” We looked up to see a small teenage girl with straight brown hair, and freckles that dotted her face like constellations. I smiled, “Yeah, are you a fan?” She smiled excitedly, “Oh my yes I am! Oh, hi, I’m Elizabeth.” “It’s nice to meet you, want to join us?” She sat down as we introduced ourselves.
Makenzi and I left to get our food but soon returned, we had just sat down when another girl approached our table. She looked to be around 20, she had brown curly hair and gorgeous brown eyes. “Hi! I’m sorry, I couldn’t help but over hear you talking about Owl City and the concert tonight. I’m Stari!” I laughed, “Hi! Why don’t you join us?” We introduced ourselves and became engrossed in discussing Adam and his music. We all laughed and carried on as though we had all known each other for years.
