Male Muscovy Duck

Muscovy ducks, Cairina moschata (Anseriformes - Anatidae), are large ducks; the typical wingspan is between 137 to 154 centimeters. Males are generally larger than females.

Muscovy ducks have red, fleshy protuberances on the face. The plumage is brownish-black with iridescent green and purple dorsal plumage and with white wing patches.

These ducks are native to Mexico, Central, and South America.
