If there’s one thing we know for certain, it’s that the world needs more melancholy space-cats holding muffins. Moon Muffin is one of the latest paintings by Indiana based artist Mab Graves and is part of her Spectrum solo exhibition at the Auguste Clown Gallery in Fitzroy, Victoria, Australia through May 3, 2015.

With a style reminiscent of Margaret Keane (the subject of Tim Burton’s 2014 film Big Eyes), the Spectrum paintings feature a world of big-eyed Blythes as space explorers and goddesses along with a host of animal sidekicks and surreal scientific specimens.

Head over to the Auguste Clown Gallery website to view the entire Spectrum exhibit and visit Mab Graves’ website to check out even more of her artowrk.
