sports car week meets Ferrari Friday … what we miss … open paddocks

the Maranello Concessionaires Ferrari 412P of Richard Attwood & Lucien Bianchi being serviced at Francorchamps during the 1967 Grand Prix de Spa

Bianchi & Attwood finished 3rd in the race which was won by Jacky Ickx & Dick Thompson in the Gulf Mirage-Ford M1 - mainly thanks to the ‘Spa skills’ of Ickx
a Porsche 910, driven by Hans Herrmann & Jo Siffert, completed the podium & the Lola-Chevrolet T70 MkIII raced by Jackie Epstein & Paul Hawkins made it 4 different marques on the 4 first spots

sports car week meets Ferrari Friday … the waiting lane

a rather anxious looking Chris Amon walks round his Ferrari 312P (that he shared with Peter Schetty) at the 1969 24 Heures du Mans

next to it, covered by the public, is the 2nd factory 312P, driven by Pedro Rodriguez & David Piper
neither of the cars would finish the race

Amon already was a Le Mans winner, driving to victory together with Bruce McLaren in ‘66 at the wheel of a Shelby American Inc. Ford MkII
