The Toronto home of Canadian interior designers George Yabu and Glenn Pushelberg.

Throughout this cool and relaxed space are select pieces of premium 20th Century modern design, most notably the pair Gio Ponti chests on brass legs, Piero Fornasetti screen, and the Jacques Guillon String Chair. The sleek stainless steel and glass dining table flanked by richly pronounced Brazilian rosewood and leather dining chairs, strikes a nice balance of the organic sculptural with the linear architectural. The theme continues in the 2nd floor bath, seemingly immersed within the trees.

Plant-filled Portland Home

Where does your garden grow? How about in your home? I’m ashamed to say, I’ve never given plants much thought when decorating a space. I don’t particularly have a green thumb but no one can deny that certain calmness that plants bring to a room. The above photos are of Adam and Ashley’s home, a couple living in Portland who were featured on Apartment Therapy. Their 800 sq ft. apartment is filled with Danish-modern furniture, worldly patterns and many DIY furnishings. My favorite part about the place is how well the wooden elements combine with the numerous plants to give the space a fresh, crisp feel.
