Bird-cherry Ermine (Yponomeuta evonymella)
…a species of day-flying micromoth found throughout Europe and Northern Asia. Bird-cherry ermines are usually found flying from July until August. These small moths usually lay their eggs in the bird cherry, once the caterpillars hatch they will construct a large weblike nest and will start to consume the tree. The rate of consumption and the damage they can cause has caused the bird-cherry ermine to be considered a destructive pest in most places it inhabits.
