since halloween is coming up I thought i’d tell you all a story, one year when i was like 8 there was this lady giving out candy and she had this scary ass witch costume, looked like freaking bellatrix lestrange or something. and she answered her door and im standing there petrified and she’s like ‘what’s your name dearie?’ all grinning and shit and i panicked and said ‘uh.. i-i don’t have a name!’ my short circuiting brain thought that was a completely reasonable thing to say and i just stared up at her and she looked a little confused but she just gave me my candy, and 8 year old me spent the rest of the night trick or treating and reveling in the stupidity of ‘i don’t have a name’ just a nameless child that wanted candy what was i thinking

Howdy yall, just cause i love the shit out of halloween, i made a sorta cool sorta meh you decide playlist of peppy and spooky sounding tunes for the season! All october this will be up on the 10 second doors page for your ears n shit. Enjoy!

31 Days of Halloween Movies

October 1st: Scooby Doo on Zombie Island (1998)

About: Scooby Doo on Zombie Island takes place after the Mystery Inc. gang has been disbanded. Daphne has her own show and she’s about to do a special on haunted houses. As a surprise Fred invites the rest of the gang along and old hijinks ensue. But after debunking a bunch of houses in New Orleans Daphne becomes frustrated with how her special is going. Thankfully a mysterious woman named Lena shows up with the promise of a real haunted house on a nearby island with a questionable past. Will the gang find more men in masks or are these monsters the real deal?

Why It’s A Good Halloween Movie: Zombies and Scooby Doo. Enough said.

First Time I Saw It: I used to watch this all the time as a kid. I think it was because *spoiler* the monsters are real and the whole gang is shocked that its not all smoke and mirrors. But it also terrified the crap out of me at the same time.

Favorite Character: I don’t know if I really have a really clear favorite character in this but if I had to choose it would probably be Beau whose a minor character. But also he’s the most random character in this and that’s saying a lot if you watch the whole thing.

Least Favorite Character: Fred. I just never liked Fred. And he’s pretty booty blind during this whole movie. Get it together, Fred.

Favorite Scene: Probably when they try to pull off the zombie’s head and they just cannot get it off.

Ship That Sails: *Spoiler*There’s this cute moment that Beau and Velma share at the end and I always wanted it expanded on. Plus I always felt awful that Scooby and Shaggy ran around together and Daphne and Fred flirted and Velma was left to her own devices. Velma needs love too!

Favorite Song: It’s Terror Time Again - I don’t know about you but I never thought a straight to video Scooby Doo movie would have such a catchy song. Look it up!

Rating: 8/10 - It’s a little over an hour so it’s not too long. And it’s fun enough where it captures your attention but it is a bit cheesy at times and the villains are a bit odd. But I guess that’s all about the charm of it!

Waiting for the Night - Depeche Mode

Witching Hour

Happy October!

Waiting for the Night

I’m waiting for the night to fall
I know that it will save us all
When everything’s dark
Keeps us from the stark reality
I’m waiting for the night to fall
When everything is bearable
And there in the still
All that you feel
Is tranquility

There is a star in the sky
Guiding my way…
