Board of Adjustment to hear application for 212 apartments

The Parsippany-Troy Hills Board of Adjustment will hear an application on Wednesday, September 3, for MCRT Investments, LLC, 200 Interpark Boulevard, Block: 725 Lot: 6, Zone: O-3. MCRT is seeking a use variance to construct 212 residential dwelling units.  (Click here to read agenda.)

The applicant is seeking to build an apartment building containing 212 residential dwelling units on a site pad already approved to construct a 123,105 square foot, five-story office building.

Interpark Boulevard is located off Route 46, near Veterans Memorial Park.  Just recently, the Township Council denied a name change from Interpark Boulevard to IMS Drive (click here for article).

The Board of Adjustment meets at 1001 Parsippany Boulevard and the meeting starts at 7:30 p.m.

Members of the Board of Adjustment include, Bernard Berkowitz, Esq.,  Steven Cappadona, Steve Dickens, Loretta Gragnani, Brian Kelley, George Kimmey, Jonathan Nelson, Amil Shah and chairman Robert Iracane. Board Attorney is George W. Johnson, Esq.; Board Planner is John T.Chadwick, IV and Board Engineer is Gordon Meth, PE along with Zoning Board of Adjustment Secretary Harriet Jacobs.

MCRT Investments, LLC is seeking a use variance to construct two apartment buildings at 200 Interpark Boulevard on a site already approved to construct a 123,105 square foot five-story office building.

Zone O-3 states no building, structure or premises shall be used and no building or structure shall be erected or structurally altered except for the following uses:
A. Professional, clerical, data processing and insurance offices.
B. Educational and technical training institutions and schools.
C. Retail business uses limited to restaurants, clothing and shoe shops, drugstores, variety shops, department stores and radio, television and music shops, and further provided that only 20% of the total floor area of the building shall be used for retail business use.
D. Communications offices and studios.
E. Medical and dental offices subject to the minimum parking spaces required as contained in § 430-276 for the subject site. Editor’s Note: Former Subsection E, which provided for motels containing not less than 100 transient rental sleeping rooms as a permitted use, was repealed 2-28-1984 by Ordinance No. 84:3.
F. Reserved. Editor’s Note: Former Subsection F, Indoor theaters, was repealed 3-14-2000 by Ordinance No. 2000:7.
G. Mobile food vendor establishments, including all vehicles, trailers and structures operated by a mobile food vendor, as defined in Chapter 296, Peddling and Soliciting, Article I, Canvassers, Solicitors and Mobile Vendors, for transporting food and beverages for sale therefrom while stopped or parked at a location upon lands within the Township.
