You know, there’s a lot to thank the guys from The 1975 for.
We should thank Adam for bringing the boys together and also the other members for accepting Adam’s invitation.
We should thank them for not giving up on making and playing music all these years, despite all the hardships they went through.
We should thank them for their love of music without which they probably wouldn’t have written such good songs and they wouldn’t love their fans the way they do. Without it, they would probably not strive to travel to so many places, having a hard time, just to feel the joy and happiness of playing gigs to people, fans, to whom their music represents a big part of their lives.
We should thank them for being so humble and having big hearts.
We should thank them for being grateful to their fans and interacting with them whenever they can.
We should thank them for having patience with every single fan they meet and for caring for every single one of us.
We should thank them for giving us the opportunity to see them and hear their music live.
We should thank them for their music that touched our hearts and souls and changed them, made them happier, made them inspired, made them love more.
We should thank the people that believed in them and their talent - family, friends, co-workers, fans - and gave all they could to get them out there, to let the world feel their music.
We should thank their crew that makes a lot of effort to deliver shows as close to perfection as possible.
Thank you, The 1975!
(I probably missed something…)
(And, yes, that is the sign I went with at Summer Well Festival :) )
