Wisdom From Martin Luther King Jr.

Chalkboard Art | by Dangerdust.

At the Columbus College of Art and Design in Ohio, two anonymous Advertising & Graphic Design students mysteriously sneak into an empty classroom in the middle of the night every Sunday or Monday to create these delightful chalkboard pieces. Each piece takes up to 11 hours of hard work at times, but as a result, fellow students are treated to some amazing chalkboard art the next day - a great way to start the week!

Combining illustration with typography, the duo, also known as Dangerdust, express their flair for design, quoting inspirational words of wisdom from some of the world’s most respected men and women.

Chalking their first few masterpieces was originally just a break from the monotony of graphic design through a computer. But what started out as something ‘just for fun’ continued due to immense popularity of the pieces (and encouragement from their professor). To date, over twenty chalkboard drawings created throughout the past school year.

We are dangerdust. We love chalk.

Despite our overwhelming workload at Columbus College of Art & Design we bring it upon ourselves to create a chalkboard every week. We have taken over the chalkboard on the third floor of Crane and every Monday a new board appears.

Follow us. Love us.

Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.
