Why Spurs?

If you were paying attention to the first entry, you’ll have noticed that my long journey to White Hart Lane started in Middlesbrough. You might then have wondered why I don’t support Middlesbrough. I can tell you, if you’re wondering that, that I’m not actually from Middlesbrough … but many people where I live are Boro fans, because they are our nearest league football club.

You may instead have wondered if I was born elsewhere. You might have assumed that my family are from north London, or something like that, which does make a lot more sense.

Or you may have wondered, like me for most of my life, about absolutely nothing. You just went with it. And that was what I did until I was about eighteen.
