Richard Gere's Divine Time at Central Java

Richard Gere has become Indonesia’s unofficial tourism ambassador. He arrived in Magelang, Central Java yesterday to visit the eight century Borobudur Temple for a Buddhist ritual. “I’m happy and amazed to be here,” he said at a press conference at Magelang’s Manohara Hotek. “It’s not just an ordinary journey for me but also a spiritual journey.” Gere has also shown interest in making a movie about the Temple’s history. He and his family will continue their journey to Bali.
