The Urban Tea Merchant

The best medicine for gloomy weather is a cup of tea and a friend. I badly want to try their high tea here and lucky that my friend is off from work. The first time I came here with another friend we weren’t able to do the high tea so we just ordered some cake which I am going to post it here too. TWG is one of my favorite brand of tea and I was pretty excited when I heard that they serve almost 200 tea flavors. Heaven!

Tea was everywhere when we entered the place. Actually this is the first floor only. We made a reservation at the Salon (second floor). The place was very elegant and classy. I just want to say Thank you to the lovely Francesca (I hope the spelling was right) who was our server that time. She was very friendly and extra extra nice. She even explained to us the menu and some tea recommendations. You did a great job and we love your friendly smile!

The Salon was pretty fancy and the ambiance was great. This will be a perfect place for people who just want to have a tea moment while staring at the window. Looking at the tea menu makes me wanna try all! Trust me you just don’t know where to start.

For my tea I ordered the Red Chocolate Tea. This one was really delicious. It’s like drinking a cup of hot chocolate with a little bit of spice. The aroma was really addictive. I should have bought one before we went home.

We ordered the Petite Tea. A combination of Savouries treat and Sweets. Personally my favorite was the Indian Night sandwich. It is a curried egg salad sandwich and it was a perfection. The chicken cone was pretty unique too.

I was super excited to take a picture when I saw the “Groom” chocolate dipped strawberry. It was so cute plus the Macaron was very authentic and yummy.

The desserts we tried on our first visit. My friend ordered the White Chocolate Cheesecake. It was very creamy, silky and they infused it with Earl Grey Gentleman Tea which made it more delicious. I ordered Tiramisu. It was very classic, melts in your mouth dessert and they use the Number 12 Tea on it with touch of purple flower.

Overall we enjoyed our high tea experienced here. One of the finest and good quality of desserts we tried so far. I would recommend this to my fellow high tea lover to try having your afternoon tea here. I’ll be coming back for more. The Urban Tea Merchant is located at West Georgia.
