Oooh, you’ll see. Lucille isn’t the only one trying to breaking up Kogan. I’ll give all my tumblr followers a little hint right here:
"Young and full of running,” Kendall sang, strumming his guitar. James scoffed, knowing how much Kendall did sing but refused to unless it was with a close friend or family member. Yet Logan got to sing with him while Kendall played guitar? That was a privilege not even James has received. And James and Kendall were best friends.
They didn’t know he was behind the wall in the classroom or that he was listening to their conversation. For some reason, James just stayed put, not wanting to leave. Something was telling him not to leave. “Young,” Logan began singing and continued with the song. James eyebrows went shooting up, his hands falling limb at his sides. Logan had such… such a beautiful voice. Sure, Kendall was really good but Logan’s voice was just so pure and innocent… Kind of like him, James rationalized with himself. The most he listened, the more he began swaying with the tune, closing his eyes and smiling softly. Finally when they were done, Kendall complimented his voice, snapping James out of it.
James flushed, realizing what he was doing. He had to remember he came here to talk to Logan… to force him to leave Kendall alone! Yet his intentions completely changed. Before, he wanted Kendall not to be around because of the town’s rules. Now he just wanted Kendall to stay away from Logan, to leave the beautiful boy alone.
James nearly gasped out loud but was thankful he didn’t just in case they heard. James turned over to see Kendall packing up his guitar. “You want to come over?”
"Nah," Logan smiled. "I have to get a lot of homework done. My parents are freaking out that I’m not doing as much studying."
"Okay," Kendall chuckled. "See you tomorrow then."
With that, James heard Kendall walk out the door. Once he no longer heard footsteps, his body acted on its own, moving out in the open. Logan turned and immediately gasped. He’s insecure about his singing, James recalled Logan saying before singing. “Hi.” The word left James’ lips before he could stop it.
"Hi…" Logan replied awkwardly.
James sighed. “You… you’ve got a good voice.”
Logan frowned, his expression filled with suspicion. “Thanks…”
"Look I know I haven’t been the nicest person around," James began.
"Well ain’t that the truth," Logan murmured under his breath. James ignored it.
"But… I…" James actually found himself blushing. Blushing?! What was going on?
"You?" Logan furrowed his eyebrows. James didn’t know what made him do it. He supposed it was the darn voice of his! That voice that just echoed so perfectly throughout the classroom hit him. It swirled around his subconscious, making him do something without thought. He didn’t consider the rules. He didn’t consider the boy. He didn’t even consider Kendall, for crying out loud! So why’d he do it? And James couldn’t think of any other reason: he was in love with Logan.
And that’s why James kissed him.
So there’s a little sneak peek on future chapters ;)
