I think that this one has the advantage of much better lighting. After spending about an hour removing the background from Thunderbird 5; which is easier said then done, I didn’t realise that there was so much to that bird. I rotated the remaining image about 90 degrees or so to hit the light from the sun and then I adjusted the brightness up a little and the contrast down.
The thing is, unless you really zoom in, you won’t see any of that detail. I can’t help but find that to be really beautiful. I’m sure that when you do zoom in you will see some dodgy lines and maybe some odd pixels.
I imagine that some of the light will get caught in the inside of the ring/ I didn’t have to worry much about darkening the outer ring as the lights that John uses take care of any lighting issues. I also really like how the solar panels are only just visible.
I would like to know what kind of orbit Thunderbird 5 is in. I was talking to one of my real life friends -yes they do exist.- and he thought that TB5 would likely be in a similar orbit to the ISS to take advantage of all the different radio signals that TB5 can listen in to. This does seem to make the most sense, although I like to think that John has a course lined in that keeps him close to Tracy island when his orbit reaches that part of the earth.
I’m not sure what to do for my next one, maybe TB3 in a different setting or show TB4 some love.
I do want to get to a stage where I don’t have to use other people’s images and I can start to create my own.
I need to also get some writing out of the way, Thunderbirds is the first series that I come across where I have wanted to write some fan-fiction. This is coming from someone who said that he would never ever write fan-fiction because it distracts from his real characters and it’s what silly little teenagers do.
I think I have may be wrong about that.
I now think that it would be great for me to use characters that have histories and back stories already set by other writers as I have to be more aware of these when I’m writing, I also that that it would be a great and healthy distraction when I get bogged down with my other projects meaning I can spend more time on Tumblr.
I know what some of you are thinking. You are thinking, “Chuck just changed the contrast and brightness of these photos with his amazing Photoshop skills. This thang don’t work.” Well, I do have amazing Photoshop skills, but I promise you that no trickery was used on these photos. The SelfiePICTEE really does work! Get yours today. NOW! RIGHT NOW!!!
The insturments below were hung on an aluminium pipe about 15 feet long in our storage room as dead hang. The above picture is what they were hung from, with about a half dozen drywall screws holding it to the rafter just under the drywall in the ceiling.
Needless to say, there is still PLENTY of work to get the studio to 100%, even with me being here for 9 months in my current role.
