Pierce the Light || Inari || Ch. 2 Body Discovery

The second the lights went on, Inari’s consciousness went with the darkness. By the time they came-to, the sounds of chatter outside their room caused the pounding of their heart to intensify. The translator slipped out of their room, this time prepared in their normal outfit, and they walked until they reached the bedroom.

The first thing they noticed was the smell. It hit them like a wave, and they immediately put their cape over their nose as they moved inside to take a better look at the body.

It was that lapidarist. Inari didn’t remember their name clearly, but it was still depressing to see that someone else was dead. Their normal mask of neutrality was broken by a downcast expression, and their heart was twisting inside their chest as they thought. But how could they have been killed in the dark? Inari dipped their head to the body, letting a moment of silence settle, before they turned around and wordlessly started examining the perimeter of the room.

.:✥ Things Aren't Looking So Bright || BODY DISCOVERY ANNOUNCEMENT ✥:.

ith horror in your eyes, you stare at the body of the lapidarist. The smell of blood has already seeped into your clothes as you stand there. The one thing that breaks you from your thinking is the familiar sound of a bell. What follows is a voice you unfortunately recognize.

There’s a small ‘click’ noise, which is followed by silence. The only thing you hear is the sound of the other students breathe as what’s happening settles in.

Someone was murdered. Again.

Does resting count as sleeping? [Sumiko Rina- Motive Reaction- Open]

Sumiko rolled her eyes at the crow’s words. Was lack of sleep really going to get someone to kill? Please. She’s gone days without sleeping, she was gonna be fine. Hopefully the others wouldn’t get any ideas. Though some of the people’s reactions did worry her.

"Guys come on." The lapidarist groaned loudly. "Is sleep really going to worry you?! We are human beings, not animals." She glanced in the direction of that crow she disliked and scoffed, "..No offense."

She shook her head, hoping that anyone making a big deal out of this would come to their senses. Seriously? A crow can’t run their lives.
