Some people where exited about the new print on BL, so a Lolita from one of the communities I’m part of, went to see it (She resides currently in Tokio, Japan)

Here’s the translation (I made it, sorry if It’s not properly)

"I brought a little review for the BL Jsk (code: L529). Yesterday I went to BL store, just excited to see it, because I really liked it, but it was just dissapointed to see.

- The fabric was slightly glossy, not the elegant brightness that looks nice in the clothes, the glossy was just not good quality.
-It was thin and floppy, not like the typical cotton fabric from BL that gives you a hard form and good resistence with the dresses.
- I has several threads out in the waist part
- The cardigan was like Chiffon, this one was really nice and cute, I didn’t see anything bad about it

THE WORSE: The print! was blurry and fuzzy, from a distant look it doesn’t distinguish but close you can see spots (Like pixels really big), like it was a low quiality image print in a bigger size of its.

In conclussions if it cost lest It wouldn’t be a problem to pay for, but pay that amount for that type of quality it just not right, at least in my personal opinnion, and look I’m a big fan of BL and I own lots of it.

I’m not saying “don’t buy it” or “it’s the worse dress in the world”, but I let you at least to know what are you going to buy if you’re attemp to” ~ Cookie in wonderland

In my fairiest opinnion, I was pretty delightful about the dress, it’s a shame that sometimes when you buy something the img doesn’t look like the one you bought

The next dress I got was Bodyline’s l529. I remember when they first brought this dress out I really wanted it. Then I sort of forgot about it until I was browsing through the site with my mom. When she set her eyes on it she started freaking out. I was pretty confused until she turned to me and demanded that I buy the dress on the spot because it was beautiful and I needed it. I thought about it but basically told her I liked it but didn’t really feel the need to get it now. So instead she bought it for me because she couldn’t stand the idea of my Lolita wardrobe not having this dress in it. This of course was pretty shocking for me since my mom is not a big fan of Lolita… at all. I guess she’s slowly coming around *^-^*

I had read a few reviews on this dress (there weren’t many sadly), and like they all mentioned it is very soft. So soft and smooth to be exact. You couldn’t help but run your fingers over the fabric because of how silky smooth it felt. But like they also mentioned the print isn’t very clear. At a distance it looks really nice but up close the colours are blur around the edges and the overall image is rather blurry, having a slight pixelated feel to it.

Also as previous reviews have mentioned the image doesn’t continue very well on the dress. As the close up photo shoes the image is cut off near the waist and doesn’t continue below it. This sort of bothers me because I find myself just staring at it when I’m in front of a mirror so I have to focus quite a bit to forget about that fact. At a distance you can’t really notice it but up close it’s pretty noticeable.

It comes with a bolero, which is alright. I’ll talk more about that in the next post. The only thing I can say I don’t like about the dress is that small bow on the front which is sewn on. I haven’t bothered to remove it because I’m afraid of damaging the dress but as soon as I get the chance I’m going to. I think it makes the dress look cheap. It’s just ugly and ill shaped. It’s also off center which kills me every time I look at it.

What do you think about Bodyline's l529? Also what kind of petticoat would it use? A-Line?

I’m on the fence about it. I like the concept, but I don’t necessarily like the execution. I like that they decided to keep the design of the dress itself simple because the print is so overwhelming, and I like that they’re obviously paying attention to the kind of things that are popular right now and catering to what customers want. I’m not crazy about the print though. I like separate elements of the print, I like the cherubs, and the flowers, and the colors, but I don’t like how they’re just thrown together. It looks like if you were looking at it from just a few feet away it would just be a big blobby mess. I just wish the print looked cleaner.
As for the shape, no, it’s definitely bell-shaped.

This is the bolero that comes with L529. As boleros come it’s not very nice. It’s made out of a stretchy material and in my opinion just looks kinda cheap. The sleeves are detachable which is nice (though I’m not really a fan of detachable sleeves. I just don’t feel that they stay on nicely). I didn’t find it very comfortable to wear and my mom and I both thought that it didn’t really help the dress’s overall look. Instead of it looking cute, it just made the dress look…well cheap.

Hi, do you think that the new painting style bodyline jsk (L529) could be coordinated with lavender? I would like to try it with orphanim's prayer tights in lavender and either L373 or L311 in lavender, but i'm not sure which one to get. i prefer the look of l311 but i know it wouldn't go under the jsk.

You know I’m really not sure about lavender. I don’t think L311 would work at all because the neckline probably wouldn’t fit properly in the neckline of the JSK. L373 is a very nice looking blouse but I’m not sure how the lavender would look. If you think you would use the blouse and tights in other ways I would say go ahead and get them and try them out, but I’m sort of on the fence about it personally. Does anyone else reading this have an opinion color wise? I think it would look best with black or ivory, but I would like to know what others have to say about it.
