HI FRIENDS (and a super special hello to taylorswift)!!! Basically, this is a video I filmed and edited (for days upon days upon days, might I add) for a contest run by keds. An entrant had to submit a video by the deadline of midnight, October 12, of them showing off their best moves to “Shake It Off.” The grand prize winner is awarded with a trip to New York to attend the taping of a television show (where Taylor will be a guest), a tour of Teen Vogue Magazine headquarters, a $1000 shopping spree, and an invitation to attend a 1989 album release party! The winner also gets to bring a friend, and…let’s just say…for kicks and giggles…if I were to win…the friend I would bring is Shayna captureitrememberit. We both live and breathe Taylor. Gosh, she just means so much to us and words can’t even express how incredibly grateful we would be if my video were chosen.

Taylor has helped me through so many of my own personal struggles, and this opportunity would give me, as well as Shayna, a once in a lifetime chance to thank our idol and inspiration in person. Even if I don’t win, I would love for Taylor to see this video, because, let me tell ya, I worked soooooooo freakin long on this and I’m really proud with how it turned out!

So, pleasepleaseplease watch and reblog this! (And maybe possibly mention Taylor when you reblog? Pretty please?) I had the funnest time ever putting this all together. Thanks to anyone who watches/reblogs, thanks to Keds for holding this contest, and thanks to Taylor for, you know, just being plain awesome.

I think that one thing that I do believe as a feminist is that in order for us to have gender equality we have to stop making it a girl fight and we have to stop being so interested in seeing girls trying to tear each other down, it has to be more about cheering each other on as women. That’s just kind of how I feel about it.
