A pepperoni pizza in a roll! Who would have known how genius this would be… And they’re not messy at all. Before I found out this invention, I use to only put shredded cheese in the crescents, but with pepperonis they are SO much better. According to LIVESTRONG, mozzarella contains niacin, riboflavin, thiamine, biotin, and vitamin B6. These are needed to help keep up healthy skin & vision. It also contains vitamins A, D, and E. These are needed to help with bone growth and absorbing calcium. So get to cooking!

Pizza Crescent Rolls

Ingredients:

  1. Unbaked Crescent Rolls ($2.47)
  2. Mozzarella String Cheese ($3.58)
  3. Pepperoni Slices ($2.58)

Optional Ingredient:

  1. Marinara Sauce to dip crescents in ($2.00)

TOTAL COST: $8.63 ***Prices will vary

TOTAL COST (with optional ingredients): $10.63

SIX (6) EASY Steps:

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Open the crescent roll container and lay all EIGHT (8) of the crescents flat on a baking sheet.
  2. Lay, FOUR (4) or FIVE (5) or however many you want, pepperonis flat on top of the dough. Make sure they don’t go over the edges of the dough.
  3. Cut FOUR (4) mozzarella cheese sticks in half with a knife. ***BE CAREFUL WITH YOUR FINGERS!
  4. Put the halves of mozzarella string cheese on top of the pepperonis.
  5. Roll up the dough starting with the wider side. Pinch the sides so that the cheese melts out less. Put in oven for 12 MINUTES.
  6. Take them out! Let them cool for a bit and enjoy!

… And you’re done! Mini “pizzas” made in less than 20 minutes. These are so yummy to eat and easy to make. If you ever feel like whipping up something last minute, these are definitely things you can go for.

XO, Kaitlyn.

I love mozzarella sticks, and I love them even more with marinara sauce. So since I love them so much, I thought to myself, “Why not try to make my own?” So I went to the store and bought what I needed. And they came out DELICIOUS. So yummy that I had to share it with you all… Have fun.

Also, here are some other ways that they can be made:

Mozzarella Sticks

***YOU WILL NEED 3 DISHES, A FREEZER BAG, and A BAKING SHEET.

Ingredients:

  1. Mozzarella String Cheese (16 String Cheese - $3.99)
  2. Eggs - 3 large (1 carton = $1.98)
  3. Flour - ($2.00)
  4. Panko Bread Crumbs (LARGE Box - $1.99)
  5. Grated Parmesan ($2.48)
  6. Garlic Salt & Parsley ($2.79)
  7. Canola Oil Spray ($2.79)

TOTAL COST: $18.02 ***Prices will vary

PREPARATION STEP: ***I used 8 string cheese = 16 sticks when cut in half.

  1. Cut string cheese in halves and place them in a freezer bag. Place them in the freezer til frozen.

FIVE (5) EASY STEPS:

  1. Once the cheese is frozen, get 3 separate bowls or plates. Put the flour in the first dish, the egg in the second, and the mix of 10 tablespoons Panko bread crumbs, 1 tablespoon garlic salt & parsley, and 2 tablespoons parmesan in the third.
  2. Roll the cheese in the first dish of flour.
  3. Now, dip it in the egg and let any extra yolk drip back into the dish.
  4. Adhere the mix to the cheese by patting the cheese into the dish. Repeat with all and PUT THEM BACK INTO THE FREEZER for 10 minutes to solidify them agan.
  5. Preheat oven to 400 degrees and spray baking sheet with canola oil. Place the sticks on the baking sheet and spray the tops of them. Place them in the oven for 4-5 minutes then flip them over and bake them for 4-5 minutes letting them get golden (MAKE SURE THEY DON’T MELT) Take them out and enjoy with marinara sauce!

This recipe takes about 30-40 minutes to make, which isn’t very long. Also, it’s best to eat them when the cheese is nice and stringy on the inside. These are much better than the ones that you get from Jack in the Box or wherever. They aren’t deep fried in TONS of oil, which is way healthier! This recipe was pretty fun, I hope you have fun too.

Just in time for Thanksgiving and Christmas… RED VELVET COOKIES! You may have all heard of red velvet cake, cupcakes, and cake pops, but red velvet cookies may have to be the best of them all. I was inspired by the cookie recipe off the Duncan Hines website. The red velvet cookie recipe they have uses powdered sugar. I thought why not give them a little more texture… So, instead of using powdered sugar, I used white chocolate chips.

Red Velvet Cookies

***YOU WILL NEED A BOWL, WHISK/FORK & BAKING SHEET

Ingredients:

  1. Duncan Hines Red Velvet Cake Mix (Box - $2.75)
  2. Vegetable Oil (Regular size bottle- $3.00)
  3. Large Eggs (1 Carton - $1.98)
  4. White Chocolate Chips (Bag - $3.99)

                                              TOTAL COST:$11.72 ***Prices will vary

SIX (6) EASY Steps:

  1. Let the oven preheat to 375 degrees. (This should take about 10 minutes or so)
  2. Pour into the bowl: The red velvet cake mix, TWO eggs, 1/3 CUP vegetable oil, and AS MANY AS YOU WANT white chocolate chips.
  3. Grab your electric whisk, hand whisk, or large fork and start mixing everything in the bowl till all is mixed completely. (Refer to STEP 3 picture to see how it should look)
  4. Make tablespoon size balls (Made about 22 cookies for me) or however big you’d like them to be and place them about an inch apart on the baking sheet. ***I put 11 on each baking sheet
  5. Place the baking sheet(s) in the oven for 8 MINUTES.
  6. Take them out WITH OVEN MITTS ON. Let them sit for 5 minutes and enjoy!

Made in 20 minutes… Red velvet cookies that are to die for. This happens to be one of my favorite recipes and a big favorite among my friends. You can eat them just by themselves or you can eat them with vanilla ice cream. It is a must to try them with vanilla ice cream if you’ve never had them together before. Another option would be to eat the cookies with some milk, and you can give some to Santa. Happy holidays everyone!

XO, Kaitlyn.

Hey college students! It’s time to eat. Here is a fish stick taco recipe that I was showed years ago by my mom. Every time she made them I always had to go back for seconds. Nowadays when I make them for my family, friends, or boyfriend they always go back for seconds too. What I love about these fish stick tacos is that they are super fast and super easy to make which you’ll see below. And what else do I love? It costs less than $20 to make them! And you’ll definitely get more than you bargained for. According to Bundle, the average cost for dining out is $20. That $20 is only for ONE meal. Well enough talking! Let’s get cooking!

Fish Stick Tacos

  1. FIsh sticks ($5.98)
  2. Tortillas ($1.98)
  3. Shredded cheese ($2.38)
  4. Cole slaw ($1.28)

  6. Limes (For about 7 limes… $0.29!)
  7. Garlic powder ($1)

TOTAL COST: $15.90 ***Prices will vary

FOUR(4) EASY Steps:

  1. Bake fish sticks at 425 degrees for 18 minutes and flip them halfway through.
  2. While the fish sticks are baking, heat tortillas right on the stove til toasted to your desire (I like them a little crispy). ***BE CAREFUL! Use tongs like I did.
  3. Put 1/3 cup mayo in a tiny bowl. Add 1 tsp. garlic powder. Squeeze one whole lime. Mix with spoon ‘til consistency is even.
  4. Once the fish sticks are baked, the tortillas are toasty, and the sauce is mixed, spread the mix on the tortillas then add the fish sticks (2 or 3), cole slaw, and shredded cheese. (*Hot sauce if you’d like!)

Who loves pepperoni pizza and quesadillas? Well what if they’re combined? Two heavenly things put together into one dish… it’ can’t be true. Well it is! Pepperoni pizza quesadillas. They are the perfect lunchtime meal or snack. I truly love how easy this recipe is. Right when I was done making them, I instantly gobbled them up. Please try this one for me. It’s super yummy. Also, if other toppings want to be added instead of just pepperonis, go for it! This is a “what your heart desires” kind of recipe. So with that being said, get to it!

 Pepperoni Pizza Quesadillas

Ingredients:

  1. Flour Tortillas ($1.99)
  2. Package of Pepperonis ($1.99)
  3. Shredded Mozzarella Cheese ($$1.99)
  4. Pizza Sauce ($1.79)

TOTAL COST: $7.76 ***Prices will vary

FIVE (5) SUPER EASY and FAST Steps:

(Depicted in the pictures = 3 quesadillas cut into 4; 12 pieces in total)

  2. Lightly spread pizza sauce on the tortilla that will be used as the bottom. If lifted up the sauce shouldn’t run. Repeat with the other 2 tortillas.
  3. Sprinkle cheese on the bottom tortillas then add the pepperonis then add another layer of cheese. Lightly spread pizza sauce on the 3 tortillas that’ll be used as the tops then place on top of the bottom tortillas, sauce facing downward.
  4. Reheat a skillet to medium heat then place a quesadilla in the middle and fry for 3 min on each side and until cheese is melted and tortillas are golden. Repeat with the others.

I was online one day trying to find something new to bake. Making the same ole brownies and chocolate chip cookies can get old after awhile. I finally came across a recipe that I just couldn’t take my eyes off of. It just looked so warm, so chewy yet crumbly, and so darn delicious. The recipe was called Chess Squares. The creator talked about how her recipe was very similar to Paula Deen’s Gooey Butter Cake recipe. And they were basically identical except for the the fact that Paula Deen adds one extra ingredient, vanilla. So, I decided to try it out for myself, and, OH MY, this is one dessert you MUST make ASAP! I fell completely in love from the first bite I took and so did my boyfriend! I decided to call it what Paula Deen coined it as because it sounded way more yummy with her title. So, here it is. Gooey Butter Cake. It’s so bad… yet so good.

Gooey Butter Cake

***YOU WILL NEED A LARGE BOWL, WHISK/LARGE FORK, & 9x13 BAKING PAN

Ingredients:

  1. Yellow Cake Mix – 1 box ($1.69)
  2. Eggs - 3 large (1 carton = $1.98)
  3. Cream Cheese – 8 oz. SOFTENED ($1.50)
  4. Butter – ½ cup MELTED ($2.99 for a tub)
  5. Powdered Sugar – 1 pound ($1.49)

TOTAL COST: $9.65 ***Prices will vary

PREPARATION STEPS:

  1. Preheat the oven to 300 degrees.
  2. Spray or rub oil all over the 9x13 baking pan.

FIVE (5) EASY STEPS:

  1. In a large bowl, combine the yellow cake mix, 1/2 cup melted butter, and 1 egg. Mix til the dough has a soft and even consistency.
  2. Put the dough in the baking pan and press til the bottom of the pan is covered evenly.
  3. In another bowl, add 1 pound of powdered sugar (YES ONE POUND!), 2 eggs, and 8 ounces of softened cream cheese. Mix til the consistency is nice and smooth.
  4. Pour the cream on top of the dough. Spread out evenly all over.
  5. Place the pan in the oven for 40-50 minutes and until the edges start to turn golden brown. Take it out, let it sit for 10 minutes, and enjoy.

This recipe takes a little longer than the recipes I posted before, but it is definitely worth the wait! So, eat it with some vanilla ice cream or down it with nice cold glass of milk. Until next time… Peace and love.

Are you guys ready for my FAVORITE recipe??? Well here it is, Loaded Mashed Potatoes, at the tip of your fingers. I’ve always have a divine love for potatoes. Everyone that knows me knows this. I even have a scar on my left thumb from when I was younger for not cutting a potato carefully. So lesson learned, be careful with knives!!! Anyway, I love this recipe because it’s so easy to make and so fast to make. Also, you can make more than one serving if you want to make some for family and friends… or if you just want more for yourselves (I do it sometimes, nothing to be ashamed of). Potatoes have some wonderful benefits. According to How Stuff Works, potatoes have tons of fiber that help keep your cholesterol low. Potatoes also contain vitamin B6 which happens to be good for your heart. Hope you enjoyed those fun facts… Now go make some yummy potatoes!

BUT WAIT! Before we start, here are a couple other potato recipes that look amazing:

Loaded Mashed Potatoes

***YOU WILL NEED A BOWL & SARAN/PLASTIC WRAP.

Ingredients:

***Measurements are the ones I used. They vary according to your preference. Some ingredients aren’t exactly measured out.

  1. Potatoes - 2 Large & 1 Small. (Bag - $2.49)
  2. Shredded Cheese - A lot! (Regular size - $4.00)
  3. Bacon Bits - A good amount. I love bacon. (Small bag - $.2.19)
  4. Butter - 2 tablespoons. (Medium Tub - $2.99)
  5. Sour Cream - 1 tablespoon. (Medium Tub - $1.79)
  6. Salt - Less than a teaspoon. (Large container -$1.00)
  7. Pepper - Sprinkled around. (Small container - $2.00)

                                              TOTAL COST:$16.46 ***Prices will vary

SEVEN (7) EASY Steps:

  1. Wash the skin of the potatoes thoroughly scrubbing under warm water. The skin can be peeled if wanted. I kept them on. Now, using a knife CAREFULLY cut the potatoes into small pieces.
  2. Once they are all cut, put the potato pieces in a bowl and rinse them under the faucet. Drain all excess water.
  3. Sprinkle salt over the pieces. Make sure most of the slices are sprinkled.
  4. Saran wrap or plastic wrap the top of the bowl tightly. Make sure there are no openings or loose ends. Now stick the bowl in the microwave for 8-9 minutes. Once that time is up let it sit for a 1-2 minutes. Or they can be put in the oven on a baking sheet at 400 degrees for 30-40 minutes.
  5. Take the saran/plastic wrap off. (***CAREFUL! The steam can be really hot.) Add 2 tablespoons of butter and 1 tablespoon of sour cream.
  6. Mash the potatoes til desired smoothness. I like to keep some not so smashed to give it some texture.
  7. Lastly, add as much cheese, bacon bits, salt, and pepper as you’d like. You can add more butter or sour cream if you’d like too, but I think we’ve add enough. And you’re done! Enjoy!

Made in less than 20 minutes… Loaded Mashed Potatoes. This really is my favorite recipe. I hope it becomes your favorite recipe also. Whenever you want to make something really quick, just make this! It’s delicious, fast, and filling. Happy cooking, everyone!

XO, Kaitlyn.

To be honest with everyone, I use to hate eating vegetables. I was probably the pickiest eater when I was little, but now I just want to eat everything! I love vegetables so much now that I don’t mind eating them by themselves. I want to share with you guys these super easy and super fast asparagus recipe. 5. Shredded Parmesan Cheese ($1.99)

TOTAL COST: $11.51 ***Prices will vary

FIVE (5) SUPER EASY and FAST Steps:

  4. Sprinkle as much Parmesan cheese as wanted.
  5. Place the asparagus into the oven for about 8 minutes then once they’re done take them out, let them cool, and enjoy!

So how easy was that? Another thing that can be done to make this recipe even more delectable is to eat the asparagus with butter or mayo. I prefer butter because I’m not big on tons of mayo unless it’s the light mayo. But anyhow, I hope this is a recipe that will become common at the dinner table. Have a lovely afternoon!

This recipe of green beans and meat is also one that I learned from my mom. She always has the best recipes. I remember that she use to always make it when I was younger. I always had to go back for thirds because of how much I loved it! And I still do. It’s really easy to make and consist of three main ingredients. Get to cooking!

Here are some other green beans and meat recipes you might want to try out:

YUM! This recipe has a couple more steps than most, but it is worth making. Another good thing about this recipe is that it is very flexible, okra and tomatoes can be added. Also, instead of ground beef, ground turkey can be used as a substitute and it still taste amazing. I hope this dish becomes one you all can make whenever in need of something quick for dinner. Whenever tortilla chips are being eaten, they must be eaten with some type of dip like salsa or nacho cheese. For this recipe I will be showing you a yummy bean dip that I have been eating since I was a little girl. I’m pretty sure my mom got the recipe from my aunt and then my mom showed me how to make it. It may not look like the most amazing chip dip, but it sure does taste like it! So enjoy, everyone.

Also, here are some other chip dips I thought looked tasty:

Chili con Carne Chip Dip

***YOU WILL NEED A BOWL, LARGE FORK, & SARAN WRAP

Ingredients:

  1. TWO Cans of Chili con Carne with Beans ($5.15)
  2. Cream Cheese ($2.79)
  3. Tortilla Chips ($2.89)

TOTAL COST: $10.83 ***Prices will vary

FIVE (5) SUPER EASY and FAST Steps:

  1. Pour both cans of chili into a bowl then add ALL the cream cheese on top.
  2. Tightly put saran wrap on the top of the bowl. No loose ends!
  3. Put the bowl in the microwave for 2:30 – 3 minutes. ***Time may vary for different microwaves
  4. Carefully take the bowl out of the microwave. Take the saran wrap off. Using a large fork, mash the cream cheese into the chili, and mix until an even consistency.
  5. Grab your tortilla chips and enjoy the satisfaction.

And there you have it, Chili con Carne Chip Dip. What’s so great about it is that it’s so easy to make and it’s super fast to make too. This dip can be made for whenever. For example, for a party, a potluck, or just when you want a quick snack for those movie nights at home. My mom usually adds diced tomatoes and green onions, but for me I just like the taste of the bulk of it. If you prefer you can add those two ingredients and make it fancy. I hope you guys enjoy this one as much as I love eating it.
