just my opinion

anonymous asked:

have you seen the update??

yea h idk how to feel about it

I admit I chuckled a few times and some parts were nice like the Kanaya ones and also the Dave and Karkat whisperings

but it just sounds like everyone is way too agreeable with Vriska and treating her like a top authority or something?

“TEREZI: YOU'R3 R1GHT… 1’M B3H1ND YOU 4LL TH3 W4Y!
VRISKA: ::::) “
doesn’t sound like something the old Terezi would say..? (and I actually liked Vriska until before the “she’s 8ack” flaws and all considered ngl)

and Dave already didn’t care much about this stuff even before but now also Karkat sounds like he’s fed up with everything and that he really doesn’t care anymore and that makes me sad idk

so far I feel like the versions I liked/cared for of the characters were mostly left in the pre-retcon

just an opinion...

Re-reading the chapter again made me remember Itachi’s massacre of the Uchiha clan.

In this chapter, we were introduced to the conflict which is Sasuke’s absence for 12 years. But we, the readers, were told about it through Sarada’s perspective. Not Sakura’s. Not Sasuke’s. ONLY IN SARADA’S EYES. Just like in the early parts of the manga, we were told about Itachi’s crime through mostly in Sasuke’s perspective. And just like Sasuke himself, the majority of the fandom hated Itachi because of it. We saw Itachi as a heartless criminal, just like how Sasuke saw him, because we were introduced to that conflict through Sasuke’s perspective.

But then Kishi showed us another perspective of Itachi’s crime, through Tobi, Danzo, the Third Hokage, and lastly, Itachi himself. And then what happened?

We came to accept and respect Itachi. (I’m not talking about THE ENTIRE FANDOM, just those who felt this way) Because Kishi showed us other character’s perspective on the matter. He showed us Itachi’s perspective; his thoughts and his inner conflicts, which made us understand him even more. On why he had to do that horrible thing.

Now, for this Gaiden, we’ll just have to wait for Kishi to show us Sasuke’s perspective. Because if there’s one thing in the Naruto series that left an impression to me, its this: Just because a person did something bad, doesn’t mean he’s truly evil.

Once this conflict is shown in Sasuke’s perspective, then we might be able to understand why it MUST happen. Just like how we were able to understand Itachi, and some of the characters, back then.

Yes IT REALLY IS PAINFUL. BEING ABSENT IN YOUR DAUGHTER’S LIFE FOR 12 YEARS IS NOT A JOKE. But I believe there is a heartwarming reason behind it. Remember, “There’s no other clan who treasured love as much as the Uchiha.”

We’ll just have to wait for it.

please don’t brick me, just sharing my opinion

lets talk about some blink-and-you-missed-it moments from the new trailer

Okay, first off, there’s a lot of Jack here than you realize. The moments I’m most curious about are these:

See those fluid bags and the look of disgust? I think he’s chatting to Mason in this scene. And to add to this theory, I think Chiyoh may be working with Jack to get Hannibal for Mason.

Here they are seen together, Chiyoh dressed very Western. Jack seems to be in the same outfit as the cap above. We’ve all seen that picture of Chiyoh with the sniper rifle? Well look at these next two shots:

I just want Clarke and Lexa to meet again and after a minute or two of trying to figure out their emotions while they stare at each other they’ll just hug. I just really really need them to hug because they need that, they need that reassurance that they’re not alone, that physical human contact that tells them that is gonna be okay, that they have someone who gets it, who understand. Someone to lean on. I just really need them to hug because that would be something more intimate than anything they have shared. A real connection. A hug.

Just my personal opinion here but,
From what I see, the main complaint about the Supergirl trailer is that it’s too campy or like a “Rom Com.” Because Kara gets flustered in front of James Olsen or cares about what she wears on her blind date. Then there’s upbeat pop-like, “girly” song playing in the background.

But isn’t that the point though? That you can be feminine and nervous and awkward and still strong and powerful and… Super?

I mean, powerful strong women aren’t only in this “sexy seductress” or emotionally distant mode that superhero fans seem to think they are.

Like I saw a post complaining that Kara was seen crying after the military turned her away because she’s a superhero, she’s supposed to be “stronger than that.” But why do you have to be one or the other? Emotional OR strong. Why can’t you be both? Give yourself time to feel bad and than come from that feeling stronger than ever?

Personally, I think Kara’s going to be a wonderful character that’s lacking in both the DC and Marvel verse on television and film.

I hate how people complain about the Smosh videos.

If you don’t like them, don’t watch, skip to another YouTube video and keep yourself from writing nasty comments about how you don’t laugh anymore at their videos. Ian, Anthony and the rest of the crew are doing their best to give us quality content EVERY week. And they are working on other channels, too (Smosh 2nd Channel, Smosh Games…)

You have to understand that people can run out of ideas from time to time, it’s completely normal. Smosh are on YouTube for more than 9 years and they are one of the top-subscribed channels. They still haven’t given up on it, they still want us to make us happy. AND they are making us a movie.

If you don’t like their humor, it’s okay. Every one has different kind of humor, or you are just growing up. BUT please, don’t be mean and don’t leave “I don’t like Smosh, I am gonna unsubscribe bla bla bla” comments.

Plus, Ian and Anthony have their own private lives, they might be going through some hard periods or simply want to focus on their lives a bit more. I mean, who doesn’t?

If you are not finding Smosh amusing, don’t be a bitch. So yeah. That was for me, sorry for being such a prick, but I had to write this. I understand that everyone has their opinion, but they are putting lots of efforts into their work and it’s shame to make fun of it. What if you start doing videos and people start commenting how your humor is weirder and they don’t find you funny anymore. I bet you won’t feel good.

About ONE OK ROCK's 3XXV5 album...

OK, so I don’t want to make this boring, since you guys know that I agree with many of others OORers (don’t think is bad, but I’m not loving it as much as I would like to). So, I asked my brother (Sebi) to clear some things to me (btw, my brother is a musical producer, and currently getting his bachelor’s degree in musical composition).

Sebi said that the problem weren’t the songs by themselves, it was more of a mixing problem. He said, and I quote, “the songs are fine, they’re good songs… But Feldman disappointed me this time. I can’t belive he fell into commercial mixng”. So, I asked him what he meant by that, and he explained the following:

  1. John Feldman is a great producer, but he choose a “style of sound” that doesn’t match OOR. You see, when someone mixes a song there are certain arraingements one can do to the sound that defines the style. For example: american style is characterized by emphazicing the bass and the trebble of the spectrum, resulting in a very cold, biting kind of sound . British style, on the other hand, is more balanced, and only oscilates the trebble to add what is called “glow” to the song, resulting in a warmer style of sound. According to Sebi, Feldman “used an american style and he should’ve know better”. Is due of this style, that most songs sound “squeaky and irritating, and full of noise, except for the slow ones. They sound clean, and that’s because the american style goes better with sad music. The rest of the songs wuould’ve probably sound better with a more british style of mixing.”
  2. Autotune. This programm was made to tune up (as the name indicates) those voices who can’t sing in key. The effects help to hide the flaws. Of course, we all know this isn’t necessary with Taka. The problem was, Feldman didn’t.
  3. Tomoya’s drumms. Two words: cymbals and flat. That’s right, his bass drumm sounds flat, like someone sucked the life out of it. Again, mixing error. In Sebi’s words: how bad do you have to be to completely screw a musician’s talent?. Apparently you can do that by forcing him to change his drumming style. if you listen carefully, you’ll notice there are much more cymbals, and much less patch drumming. Which is what Tomoya is known for: mind blowing patch drumming. “A total waste”.
  4. Paper Planes. I cannot emphasize how much I dislike this song. And I agreed with my brother when he said that “this song doesn’t match the rest of the album. Plus, you can barely distinguish between the two singers.” A shame, really.

So, that’s pretty much it. I loved the hidden track, tho. I think, is probably one of the best songs in this album, unfortunately. (along with MLF, Heartache, Stuck in the middle, and Cry out. But that’s just my opinion.) Ryota’s bass is pretty well done. You can actually hear him now, which is something I always complained about. But, I think his talent was wasted too (He’s very good, why not let him play more complex melodies, in stead of just one lame, almost, flat line? The bass adds the groove, and no song is good without it.)

Well, better luck next time, guys!

You’re free to share your opinion with me. I know this sounds pretty much like what Elsie’s been saying, so I tryed to make it a little bit technical this time. So, I hope it is easy to understand.

(Sorry for my english. My dyslexia has gotten a bit worse lately. So, please feel free to correct me.)

tbh if Harry REALLY wanted to deny Larry, he wouldn’t tweet something like “i study rainbows.” I mean, anyone who knows about the gay community would know the symbol is a rainbow, and this points right to suspicion. if he didn’t want to start anything he wouldn’t tweet that. But obviously he wanted to make a point, if you ask me.

I find it fascinating that when Eleanor and Louis are apart - she is super active on social media showing her followers what she’s been up to but when she is with Louis nothing - also Eleanor and Louis have both been spotted partying separately in different countries (Louis in Leeds and Eleanor in Cali) both look incredibly happy but when they are together they barely crack a smile? Hmmm? Is a split coming their way?

As a fan of Iron man what do you think of the interpretation of Robert Downey Jr?

I think RDJ was honestly the smartest decision Marvel Studios has ever made. It was the right choice at the right time and without RDJ we would not have the Marvel Cinematic Universe, you can fucking quote me on that.

I think it’s trendy to trash on RDJ and Iron Man right now. But people forget what it was like pre-2008. Marvel was tanking. Iron Man was a B-List character. This was kind of a last attempt for everyone. If Iron Man bombed, so would Marvel Studios. And Iron Man was the role that redeemed RDJ’s career. It made him into one of the highest grossing actors, a media darling. When at the time he was a huge risk. His public persona was still very very negative. People didn’t talk about his acting ability, they just talked about gossip, how he was an addict and unredeemable etc etc.

A lot of RDJ’s history reads so similar to Tony’s. They’ve both had struggles with sobriety, very public highs and lows, poor relationships with their fathers, having their personal struggles overshadow their exceptional work.

It was a gamble and it paid off. And I think that RDJ does an exceptional job in Tony’s shoes. I never expected them to put 616 Stark onscreen and they haven’t. MCU Tony is different, but at the core he shares the most important traits of 616 Tony. It’s a solid transition from page to screen.

Jon Favreau fucking adores Tony Stark. You can feel the fondness and comfort he has with that character in the 2 films he directed. There’s a lot of canon references to 616verse in both films and in the special features (there’s an entire Stark/Fujikawa featurette on IM2 :D) I’m not a big fan of IM3 personally, the ending pissed me off and it didn’t feel like an Iron Man film to me. It’s very obvious that it isn’t coming from Favreau and the more I rewatched it, the less and less I liked it. It’s one of those films that is entertaining if you don’t actually try and look past the wrapper. Because if you try and analyze any part of that film it falls apart. And to me, even the silliness isn’t as fun on the 2nd watch, whereas the silliness of IM2 gets funnier and funnier the more you watch.
