Tons of books tell you how to think positive. I realised the only way that I can be positive deep within….all the time, is to think about Jesus. It is effortless. And consistent no matter what comes my way. When your plans are messed up, talk to Me about it. Talking with Me blesses you and strengthens our friendship. Also, I take the sting out of your disappointment by making something good come of it. So you can be joyful, even when things are going wrong. But it takes practice.
Start by bringing Me small things—the bad grade, the rainedout game. Even small disappointments can focus your thoughts on yourself instead of Me. But when you talk with Me, you see that the things you’ve lost are nothing compared to the wonders of knowing Me.
You’ll need a lot of practice before you can trust Me with big disappointments. But if you keep at it, someday even the greatest things of this world will seem like garbage compared to the Joy of knowing Me—your Savior, Lord, and Friend.
It’s time for #JesusCallingFor #kids #devotional before dozing off.
Do You Feel It?
You have shown me the path to life, and you make me glad by being near to me. Sitting at your right side, I will always be joyful.
—Psalm 16:11 (CEV)
As you decide to come close to Me, the Light of My Presence shines brightly upon you. Do you feel it? It’s that warm feeling when you know you’ve done something that makes Me smile. It’s that Peace in your heart when you’ve poured out all your sorrows to Me. It’s that bubbling-over Joy that fills your voice when you sing My praises. It’s that perfect Love I always have for you— even when you mess up.
This is one of those wonderful things about Me—the closer you get to Me, the closer I draw you to Me … which brings Me closer to you … and on and on and on.
Do you feel that Joy? Open your heart to Me—and receive even more joy!
Wooooow! This is so powerful!!! Be blessed #Jesusfreaks !!!
It is worth nothing for a person to have the whole world, if he loses his soul.
—Mark 8:36 (ICB)
I designed you to need Me in order to have a full life. In this world you may have many things—popularity, riches, power, possessions. But unless you have Me, you will always be missing something. Without Me, there is an empty place inside you in this life. And without Me, you would have only darkness in eternity.
Trust that I know what I’m doing—even when I lead you along a path that feels strange. If you follow Me with all your heart, you will discover exciting new things about yourself. I will show you gifts and talents that you never knew you had. And you will become more and more the one I created you to be. My Presence will make you complete. - Jesus

When the Israelites were slaves in Egypt, they relied on the River Nile, a natural resource, for their supply of water. They depended on their own hands to carry the water from the Nile and did not have to look to God for His supply. This is a picture of human self-effort.
On the other hand, in the promised land of Canaan that God had prepared for His beloved people, there was no River Nile to depend on. So they had to look up and depend solely on the Lord for the blessing of rain to fall upon their land.
Beloved, even as you labor diligently in your career today, what is your trust in? Is it in your self-efforts to provide for yourself, or is your dependence on the Lord to bless, increase and promote you? It’s time to look up, especially in times of economic turmoil when the “Niles” of the world are drying up. Look up to Jesus for your supply! (Taken with Instagram at #JesusDailyPhoto )
How is holy anointing oil is produced? By crushing olives in an oil press to extract the oil. This is a beautiful picture of the crushing of our Lord Jesus, which began in the Garden of Gethsemanw. “Gethsemane” literally means “oil press”.
