"I know this year hasn’t gone as we’d all like it. But please, please, everyone do not forget about that 2013 season - the worst to first, the tragedy of the Boston Marathon, everyone rallying around the city, the finish line, the duck boats, everything, celebrating at home. Might be down a little bit in the win/loss column right now, but do not let that erase any of those memories from last year that I get to wear a ring on my finger for. I’m proud to be a Red Sox for those times." - Jonny Gomes

Pictures from Saturday and Sunday, SF Giants v. Washington Nationals (including Get Away Day)

so over the weekend, xander-bogaerts and I went to see the SF Giants play the Washington Nationals in order to see our beloved Jake Peavy and along the way we happened to fall in love with the whole SF Giants team.

Hunter Pence, while walking onto the bus to go to the airport on Sunday, saw I was taking pictures, laughed, smiled and waved at the camera.

Coming from a diehard Red Sox fan and “bandwagoner” SF Giants fan, I can tell you, SF faithful, you guys have one hell of a team filled with great guys.

The Boston Red Sox have traded RHP Jake Peavy to the San Francisco Giants for minor league pitchers, Edwin Escobar and Heath Hembree.

Thank you for a great year in Boston and for helping the Red Sox win their third World Series in 10 years. Best of luck with the rest of the season with the Giants. You will be missed in Boston by fans and teammates.
