14 year old Palestinian girl Malak Al Khatib has been released today after spending two long months in Israeli jails under false charges.

Happy to see her hugging her parents again but going through the Israeli prison experience at such a fragile age is not something a child can recover from.

Palestinian Boy Shot Dead By Israeli Soldiers

October 18th, 2014

Israeli forces have shot and killed a Palestinian boy in a village in the occupied West Bank, local medics and residents said.

Thirteen-year-old Bahaa Badr was shot as Israeli forces entered Beit Liqya near the separation wall with Israel, and were reportedly pelted with stones by local youths on Thursday.

It is unclear whether the boy took part in the confrontation, which the Israeli army described as an “illegal riot” in which residents threw Molotov cocktails at their forces, as they were exiting the village.

A military spokesperson said soldiers responded with live fire and the army would investigate the killing.

Director Ahmed Betawai of the Ramallah Hospital said the boy was shot three times in the chest and died of his wounds about two hours after the incident.

Tensions in the occupied West Bank have risen since Israel’s seven-week war in Gaza began in July and killed more than 2,000 Palestinians - mostly civilians - and more than 70 Israelis, almost all of them soldiers.

In recent days, tensions also spiked amid Palestinian charges that Israel is limiting access to Palestinian worshippers at the Haram al-Sharif in East Jerusalem.

Israel has occupied the West Bank and East Jerusalem since capturing them in the 1967 war. Palestinians want the territories, along with the Gaza Strip, for a future state.

11-month-old Balqis Ghawadra became the youngest prisoner in the world, after visiting her father in Eshel Israeli prison, occupied Beer Sheva.

Nihal Ghannam Ghawadra from Bir Al-Basha village, near Jenin, waited passionately for the permission to visit her husband, Mu’ammar, only to be separated from her two little children, and to see her entire family become prisoners, Ahrar Center for Prisoners Studies and Human Rights reports.

According to the PNN, Nihal headed to the prison on Wednesday, with her daughter Balqis, 11 months, and son Baraa’, age 2. As soon as she arrived, the three were separated.

Nihal was imprisoned, along with her two children, under the pretext of sneaking a mobile phone to her husband. The entire family has now been imprisoned, as a result.

Muammar’s mother told Ahrar that her daughter in law called to inform her that Israeli authorities had imprisoned her and her children, and began calling on people to help release them from the prison.

Director of the center Fu’ad al-Khuffash declared the move by prison officials a flagrant violation of human rights and a crime against humanity, calling on local and international human rights organizations, as well as Palestinian authorities, for a speedy intervention.

Legion (David Haller) by Mike Del Mundo    //  Marvel Comics

David Charles Haller is the son of Charles Xavier, who later became the founder of the X-Men, and Gabrielle Haller, who later became the Israel ambassador to Great Britain.

Legion is an omega level mutant, and was also stated to be an Alpha-Level Mutant, with the ability to create spontaneous mutations with varying attributes. Due to either his immense powers, mental instability or combination of the two, David creates a new persona (or sub-personality) to govern each one of these new mutations.

He stated that he had in his mind 200 Omega-level split personalities. (X)
