Second Step: Painting

Next, I scan my piece into photoshop. 

In the past, I used to just paint half ass with a mouse or touch pad, but I now have a Intuous5 Wacom Tablet, which is my favorite thing ever. 

No real right or wrong method. Just start somewhere and keep going. As you can see for Cas, I sometimes bring in a picture so I can eyedropper some colors. 

Sorry I was a dingbat and didn’t make a speedpainting video. Sadly, the software I used to use to screen record doesn’t work on windows 8.1. If I continue to art, I’ll see if there’s another program out there compatible with windows 8. Didn’t log hours spent either, but if I had to wager a guess, maybe between 18-24 hours total? (including sketching) But that’s a wild, baseless estimation. I really have no idea. 

Leather and hair are still stupid.
