All things in this life are transient. They fade, and pass away. This does not make them any less beautiful, or enjoyable, but it does mean we shouldn’t grow attached to them. By allowing ourselves to be attached to transient things will only cause us pain and suffering. By only being attached to intransient things we save ourselves from the pain of loss.
Of course, this does bring me back to my “quest for Truth”:
Is there something intransient to be attached too?
As I practice stillness, I think I feel my faith, once lost, returning.
