The good folks at Dummy Mag asked me to put together a 30min mix inspired by my Studio Africa experience.

OLUGBENGA - Till All Are One (Replica Trophy)
Sarah Young feat. Lioness & Slick Don - Ajambo Si (self-released)
Gato Preto - Pirao (Original Mix) (Wobble Records)
The Very Best ft. Seye - Kondaine (Moshi Moshi Music)
OLUGBENGA - Silver Pixie, Iyawo Mi (Replica Trophy)
Faarrow - Say My Name (self-released)
Real Dolls feat. Afrikan Boy - Trophy (Switchflicker Records)
The Notorious B.I.G. - Nasty Boy (DJ Mehdi Bootleg) (self-released)
J Dilla - Fall In Love (Boddhi Satva Ancestral Soul Remix) (self-released)
Petite Noir - Disappear (Bad Life)
Burna Boy - Tonight (Aristokrat Records)
John Barry - Flying Over Africa (MCA Records)

I leaned quite heavily on my experience of the fast cuts I heard the DJ making when I went out one night to Femi Kuti’s New Afrika Shrine in Lagos, but I also wanted to highlight the idea that the African community is worldwide and not just on the continent itself.

Laurence Chauvin-Buthaud said it best… “Made in Africa, but travel all around.”
