“My greatest weakness is that I’m too freaking AWESOME to have a greatest weakness” tell them that and you’ll be gold ;)

You should select a weakness that you have been actively working to overcome. For example: I have had trouble in the past with planning and prioritization, and this is how I’m fixing it.

Greatest weakness: make it something positive like working too hard, too detail oriented or something like that.

If you smile just like that tomorrow you’ll bowl ‘em over. I’ll be praying for you!

That’s the perfect answer,Karla. I used to be the interviewer/hiring person at my job in NY and that answer would be a good one.

I do a lot of hiring for our organization, and I think the “I tend to worry a lot” comment is great! It’s not as cliche as the “I’m a perfectionist” response, yet it incorporates an element of caring about your job. Good luck!

Thanks everyone, I’m about to head out to the interview. I’ll be ridiculously early, but that’s okay :) I’ll take all the prayers, well wishes, good vibes, virtual hugs, and whatever else positive you can throw my way!

Help Tré Get Lucky in Dallas?

Just pitched Lucky Dog Bookstore in Oak Cliff for a reading of Splitting the Difference on March 14th or 16th! But without proof of interest, they’re reluctant to host, staff & purchase inventory for a first-time, indie author.

If you’re serious about attending, can you do one of these things?

Like their page and post on their wall?

Follow/ Tweet ‘em @LuckyDogBooks?

Share this announcement with your Dallas friends?

If this reading happens, it’s all you, Texas Tumblrs.
