Turangi Day 3

Day 82 of 2014

We had to farewell Turangi on Sunday. I was a little gutted, only because I had a real good relaxing getaway. We all woke up got ready then got stuck into breakfast. After that we cleaned the house well, then left on our way. Mum, dad and I stopped in Taupo just for a little break. We decided to try our luck at the Hole-In-One on the lake challenge. Basically what it is, is you have to try and hit the golf ball onto the pontoon and get it in the hole to win a cash prize. After a few attempts both dad and I managed to put it on the pontoon but not into the hole.

Later on our trip we stopped in a town called Tirau to have lunch. I saw a nice car I recognised from behind. lol. It was a Corvette. I ran straight to it to take a photo. The owner was standing near and him and I got talking. He was telling me, he lives in Auckland which has a lot of start - stop traffic. Therefore the owner bought the car as an automatic. It’s the highest spec auto which he says power wise is more then enough. The specs for this beast were incredible.

Chevrolet Corvette Grandsport

  • Top Speed: 300kph
