Eudendrium racemosum

…is a species of eudendriid hydroid (Hydrozoa) that is widely distributed throughout the Indo Pacific, eastern Atlantic, and the Mediterranean. Although E. racemosum look similar to a plant it is indeed an animal, specifically a colony of small polyps that work together to form a larger colony. Like other cnidarians E. racemosum is a predator and will feed on small passing organisms, which are dispatched via nematocysts.
