in sixth grade my homeroom teacher caught this kid stephen saying,
"that’s so gay."

so he told the class that for the rest of the week, anytime you wanted to express something negatively, you could say,
"that’s so stephen."

and it started out as a joke, where even this stephen kid was going around using it, laughing at it, not really caring. it was funny, i guess.

but then one of his friends got a bad mark on a test and said,
"that’s so stephen."

we had a blacktop recess and everyone kept saying,
"that’s so stephen."

and when we got too loud doing groupwork and had to separate and work silently, everyone in the class kept muttering,
"that’s so stephen."

and the weirdest part was that even though it was just a word we were using, even though it had nothing to do with stephen,
we all sort of blamed stephen.

and as everyone kept using “that’s so stephen,” all week, you could see stephen himself finding it less and less funny.
we played a game called “pamplemousse” in french class and everyone got stephen out right away if they could.
someone literally went and found one of stephen’s art projects when nobody else was around and ruined it so he had to start over.

and when my homeroom teacher found out about it, he sat everyone down and told us that it wasn’t okay to say “that’s so stephen” anymore. that the things we’d been blaming him for weren’t his fault and the things we’d been doing to him weren’t fair.

he told us that stephen couldn’t help it that he was stephen. he didn’t choose to be stephen. he was born stephen.

and that’s when it clicked.

we all felt pretty stupid, i think, for sort of falling for it, but i’ll be damned if i’ve ever had a teacher get a lesson across so utterly and completely as mr. bernard did.

it hadn’t even been the full week.

Homophobic Preacher drowned out by Love.

Key & Peele - Office Homophobe

A lesson a lot of people here on tumblr need to learn. Oh and it’s hilarious.

So yesterday, I was super bored on kik so I posted this thing that said (long story short) “I’m super bored, kik me @[insert my kik name here] I won’t judge anything about you, and yeah c:” Then this guy messaged me and what you are about to see is what is wrong with tons of men these days (this is coming from a male).

So first he starts out by using the most overused “insult” in the history of mankind. I ask how exactly I am gay, then it gets to the real bullshit. FIRST, I’m gay because I use Tumblr? Also, it’s TUMBLR, not tumbler. Then of course he doesn’t believe me when I said that all girls are beautiful (which they are). And the cherry on top, he thinks I am gay because I didn’t ask for nudes…yeah. This is the kinda guy we’re dealing with here.

I then refute back with these responses. And just you wait to see what stuff he says next.

This guy is not joking. But it gets WORSE!

So I ask him why he’s on this site because he said that he has a girlfriend. And honestly, I just decided to piss him off at this point. BUT WAIT, THERE’S MORE!

YUP, you guessed it! He is also a HOMOPHOBE! So at this point, I got in an argument with this misogynistic homophobe.

I was so done with this guy, so I decided to humiliate his lack of religious logic (I am not making fun of every religious person).

So to sum it up, this guy (or an excuse for a guy) is a misogynistic, disrespectful, ill-mannered homophobe. Sadly, there are a lot of guys in this world who are like this. If you would like to know his Kik name to give him a piece of your mind, just message me and I’d be glad to give it to you. I know this probably won’t reach many people. But if you see this, I would appreciate it if you spread the word about this shitstick. Maybe we could reach this post out to someone who knows this person and they can know how insane this male is.

Keep in mind, I am a male speaking out against this. There honestly aren’t enough men speaking out against misogyny in their own gender. Maybe this post will convince other men to show the misogyny in their own gender. Thank you for looking at this and have a great day.

why its not okay to act prejudice toward majorities (straight/white people)

ive noticed that a lot of people on tumblr are trying to be spiteful toward homophobes and racists. i guess they have this idea in their mind that all straight white people are racist and homophobic and they think that discriminating them will end racism and homophobia, which is fucking pathetic.

this is exactly why racism and homophobia exist in the first place. stereotypes. i can assume that racists and homophobes are usually straight and white, because they’re the majority in the us (where ppl on tumblr are usually from). the reason people are homophobic (usually threads from religion) is because they assume all gay people are sinners; and people are racist because they assume all black people fit the stereotype (‘ghetto’ or criminals).

and if you’re prejudice to one race/group, you’re prejudice to everyone. explanation: I’m white. if someone said to me that they hate black people, id be extremely offended even though it doesn’t apply to my ethnicity. the reason i would be offended is because that person would hate me if i were black, something I’m not in control of.

so, if you actually hate straight/white people, you are a racist and prejudice and a disgusting person. (:
