The truth is that teen culture is not homogenous—and neither is fangirl culture. Teenagers are complicated and complex, and they behave differently in different contexts. The average teenager who goes to a Five Seconds of Summer concert and screams her head off is actually capable of writing an essay on the political situation in the Gaza Strip the next day. She’s capable of liking Taylor Swift and disliking heels, of deploying a Twitter hashtag or helping out a charity drive, of loving Twilight and hating Fifty Shades of Grey. She contains multitudes.

Cuba or Ghana?

Idk which country I wanna go to. Both have a large quantity of black people which is good, and both are high on my list of places to visit.

I might not ever get a chance to go to Cuba ever again considering America’s ignorance. But Ghana’s got that port where the slaves were taken from and it means a lot to me. (Gave me chills when Henry Louis Gates Jr. was there on pbs)

But I also don’t wanna be seen as a negress with an ankh for being an African American who wants to set foot in Africa.

I can’t decide. Help me decide.

You know, men are humans too. Trans men, cis men, whatever. Sure there are some people who are difficult and rude but that doesn't give you permission to judge people solely on their gender."This woman was rude to me, all women are heartless animals"

in case you were wondering — by reducing every single person on the planet to a single homogenous group of “humans,” you are utterly destroying your ability to identify patterns of systemic violence & oppression. that’s why your analysis is so shitty.

Björk, Unravel

While you are away, my heart comes undone
Slowly unravels in a ball of yarn
The Devil collects it with a grin
Our love in a ball of yarn

He’ll never return it

So when you come back
We’ll have to make new love

All is full of love (video version)

You’ll be given love
You’ll be taken care of
You’ll be given love
You have to trust it

Maybe not from the sources
You have poured yours
Maybe not from the directions
You are staring at

Twist your head around
It’s all around you
All is full of love
All around you

All is full of love
You just ain’t receiving
All is full of love
Your phone is off the hook
All is full of love
Your doors are all shut
All is full of love
