Bear In Heaven - "Autumn"

image

Bear In Heaven returned to the spotlight recently with their latest full-length Time Is Over One Day Old. Like most everything that they have done successfully…Their Most recent single “Autumn” comes at you from an angle. Perhaps from a pulpit speaking to the masses. Could this be the dark ghost of Charles Foster Kane muttering Take it easy, Nice and easy, Lazarus my Love? Come find out yourself when they play at the 7th Street Entry in Minneapolis on Wednesday, September 10th. (W/ Young Magic - BUY TICKETS)

Landlady

Landlady was formed in 2011 as the solo vehicle for Brooklyn songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Adam Schatz.

Schatz’s resume both prior to and in conjunction with Landlady boasts an impressive list of Brooklyn bands and creative endeavours. An active member of Man Man and Farther Figures, he has also recorded with bands like Vampire Weekend and Those Darlings, founded the new jazz database Search & Restore, and co-produced the N.Y.C Winter Jazzfest.

Channeling his many influences into a solo project, he recorded his 2011 debut album, Keeping to Yourself, under the name Landlady. With collaborations from future band members Ian Chang, Ian Davis, and Booker Stardrum, Keeing to Yourself introduced Schatz’s strange, soulful, art rock vision, which he and his cohorts would continue to flesh out on-stage over the coming years. With the addition of second guitarist Mikey Freedom Hart, the band became a quintet and signed with Portland indie Hometapes to release their second LP, Upright Behaviour, in July 2014. ~ Timothy Monger, Rovi - taken from Spotify.
