I’m crying. This is great news. You have no idea how good this is for Dreamworks right now. Hopefully Home continues to get more money. The movie is pretty childish, but in it’s defense it was made for children.

And it has wonderful messages too. One of the quotes describes the main character as having “beautiful brown skin”; do you know how important it is for little black girls to hear those words? To hear that their skin is beautiful?

Everyone, please go support Home. It supports Dreamworks, who is falling into bankruptcy, and supports the first ever 3D Animation film to have a POC as the main character. Imagine the kinds of films that will emerge if other studios see this film doing extremely well!

Home wasn’t a set house, or a single town on a map. It was wherever the people who loved you were, whenever you were together. Not a place but a moment, and then another, building on each other like bricks to create a solid shelter that you take with you for your entire life, wherever you may go.
