16 May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope, 17 encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word. - 2 Thessalonians 2:16-17
“Hi. I woke up this morning with a sweet smile on my face. It is so wonderful to wake up each day knowing that someone loves my flaws, my failures, my mistakes, my sins. He loves me despite the fact that my life is wasted. He loves me at my worst. He loves me when no one else does. He loves me forever. I hope you could meet Him too.”
“You cannot light someone’s fire until yours is burning.”this quote was shared by our coach on our team devotion yesterday. Just a reminder to me that I should keep the fire burning in my heart. My heart should aflame with a passion for serving God and lighting others’ lives. Don’t let that fire flicker. Let it burn.
One hundred years from now it won’t matter if you got that big break, or finally traded up to a Mercedes. It will greatly matter, one hundred years from now, that you made a commitment to Jesus Christ.
