First of all, it was INCREDIBLE. ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE.
Tiffany and I got to the venue at about 5:30, doors open at 7. We upgraded to fastpass tickets to go in earlier. COS BEING AT THE FRONT IS AMAZING.
In line waiting: Became friends with some girls in line, and saw Big Mike of the Apache Relay walk by, about 30 feet away, screamed at him, and he tossed me a bouncy ball. THEN we saw Michael Ford Jr, of Apache Relay, and I was like “MICHAEL!!!!!” And he was like “HEY! THANKS FOR COMING!” and I was like “Aihhtuehatuwdsnjfmksnagjoadifosjkg”
THHHEENNNNNN Francois from YtG walked out and we were like “HI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” and he was like “Hey!” so some people in line saved our spots as we ran over there to say meet him! WE GOT A PICTURE AND IT WAS AWESOME.
Thennnn, we FINALLY got into the venue, I went to the bathroom and permanently borrowed an Edward Sharpe poster and then waited for like a year for the Apache Relay to get onstage.
APACHE RELAY WERE AMAZING AS ALWAYS AND I YELLED, “I LOVE YOU” to Michael Ford Jr, and he laughed! :D Then after they were done I yelled to his brother, Ben and was like “HEY!” And he waved and said to come hang out with them at the end of the show by the merch. AHHH!
SO Young the Giant FINALLY GOT ON THE FREAKING STAGE AFTER ANOTHER YEAR AND THEY WERE AMAZING. I also yelled “I LOVE YOU!” to them, and Sameer blew kisses at me and said “For the girl who said ‘I love you!!!’”
They played A TON of new songs, and then a 3 song encore! During the final song, My Body, he crowd surfed. RIGHT ON TOP OF ME AND I TOUCHED HIM AND HELD HIM UP.
He does wear fruit of the loom.
SO ALL THAT IN ITSELF WAS AMAZINGQIOJUEIHW!
But then, Tiff and I went to the merch table to chat with the Apache Relay and I was like “HEY Y'ALL WERE AMAZING!” and Michael Ford Jr, said “Thanks so much for coming out again!” and Aaron, the drummer, who is FROM MY TOWN, was like “Hey! Thanks for coming!” and then he was like “Aren’t you from twitter? 'awellsome’? I TOTALLY FREAKED OUT. and Big Mike knew who I was and remembered he went to High School with my cousins, Brett remembered me, Michael Ford obviously did, and so did his brother Ben. and it made me sooooo happy, I’m sooooo happpy. I’m still freaking out. Mike made fun of me for asking him to sign the bouncy ball that he threw, and I told him he needs to accept me on facebook.
They all signed my ticket, and we chatted some more.
I told them they need to have a show in my backyard and they said it sounds like a plan! Then Tiff and I got a photo with all of them, and I absolutely love it!
SO THAT IS THE ENDING OF ONE OF THE MOST AMAZING NIGHTS OF MY LIFE.
not sure if anyone actually read this all the way through.
Oh, and we were 2nd row.
