During my hike to the top of Baldi Mountain at Garner State Park in Texas, I had a few realizations on life.

1) Each challenge, whether it is a mountain or something in life, can be broken down into manageable pieces. Just take it one step at a time, and eventually you will reach your goal. (Or in my case, the top of the mountain)

2) Be thankful for your health. Take care of your body. Yes, it’s nice to look attractive, but more importantly, take care of yourself so you can enjoy your life and do all the things you want (I won’t be able to scale a mountain if I was in poor health)

3) Never quit. Yes, it will be difficult. Sometimes it is scary. But it is worth it. Stay strong and keep your eye on the goal. The view on top is worth it!
