imagine your parents drag you to this wedding of an old friend of theirs and you had other plans that day but you get stuck going to this function and so you put on your only fancy dress and drive out to this wedding and you get there and sulk for a bit until you see the cutest boy you have ever laid eyes on somewhere in the middle-aged crowd. he’s got long, dark, curly hair that’s effortlessly pushed out of the way of his brilliant green eyes and handsomely brooding expression. He’s dressed simply, wearing a fitted black suit with a thin black tie that fits his lean body just right. When the wedding party begins to set up, you realize he’s the best man! The ceremony begins and even when the couple is saying their vows and i do’s, you can’t take your eyes off of the boy standing next to the groom. For the rest of the evening you continue on, sending glances his way as you watch him socialize with what you assume to be family. At one point you lose track of him, only to be suddenly made aware of a gentle tapping on your shoulder—you turn around, and it’s the boy! “Woah, I didn’t think I’d get to see anyone under forty at this thing!” You respond quietly, shocked by his presence. “My name’s Harry”, he says with a quick flash of his boyish grin. “This is my mum’s wedding”. You both quickly warm up to each other, and sit down in the grass behind the makeshift altar. You and Harry talk about all of your favorite bands and movies—funny enough, the two of you have really similar taste! The conversation goes on for so long, before you know it, the summer sun has quickly faded into dusk, and lights are being shone onto the makeshift dance floor. The two of you stop for a second to watch as the current song brings the people dancing to a halt, and listen for the beginnings of what is going to play next…it’s “hold me tight” by the beatles. “this is one of my favorites!” he exclaims. “Wanna dance?”. The two of you run down to the floor and dance excitedly the entire way through the song. It then begins to transition to “something”, and as the slower music begins Harry looks at you with his eyes which suddenly seem greener than they had the entire night through, and put his arms around our waist as the two of you sway. The song begins, “something in the way she moves attracts me like no other lover” and as you look up at Harry he begins quietly singing along with the lyrics, grinning at you all the while. You shake your head, smiling and laughing at his ridiculousness and rest your head on his shoulder, keeping it there for the remainder of the song.
