BOTSWANA Black Metal featuring Gunsmoke

Video was dope, but it was interesting to hear the narrator’s shock about this whole situation as if there has not been any black people in metal, or if metal is a western construction meant to stay in the west. One band in the video talked about reclaiming theories of metal by centering it around african mythology in their songs, just to make African metal distinct. Another interesting aspect of this video was their way of dress- very cowboy metal, almost like if Pantera were into their style of dress from their homeland! Country music was really popular in Africa in the 60’s and 70’s so I wonder if the fashion continued and manifested into a Black Metal existence!
