Day 3. I woke up feeling refreshed and pretty good all round. Followed by …..yay a trip to the bathroom. I’ve not been so excited to go, since I was 2!
Today was my day off, I was heading to the shops for a bit of R & R. But first I was meeting some family for lunch…what to choose when eating out on a Detox..there surprisingly weren’t many options for those who may be Gluten Intolerant, Dairy Intolerant, ….on Detox (Translation, there was no salads on the menu, only 1 type of soup) Naturally I had the soup (Tomato). Whilst the rest of my family ate their delicious Guniess Pie with a pot of beer, I inhaled my soup and watched on.
Off the shops I went, feeling highly unsatisfied with the soup I had just eaten. I was still hungry, the smells of the food court where singing the song of their people. It wasn’t so much that fried food smell, but the smell of fresh bread, and wraps, chips! Mmmmm chips…
My girlfriend luckily was there to distract me. She took me to Boost Juice where we settled for some organic popcorn, a Green Mint Juice, and a Coconut and Oat Protein Smoothie.
We had received free movie tickets to the cinema, where the food and drink was provided (Read, free popcorn and soft drink) we decided we should eat before we go, so topped off our dinner with Avocado on Rice Thins with a slice of Tomato. Delish! The movie rolled around and we took a popcorn to share, and went to purchase a bottle of water as none was avail for free! $4.50 for water! Sheesh, no wonder so many people opt for the cheaper soft drink option!!!
And so marked the end of day 3. I was mostly hungry and appalled at water prices!
