Feeling bored on a warm summer night? Snuggle up in a blanket, grab a cup of coffee and make Netflix your date for the night.
Stuck in Love - This movie has possibly some of the best actors all combined into one. Starring Logan Lerman and Lily Collins along with Nat Wolff and Liana Liberato, this isn’t your typical love story. There is romance but with that comes hard moments that they have to overcome in their lives.
Supernatural - If you have never seen Supernatural, you have to as soon as possible. Literally close this tab and go watch it right now! This is my all time favorite show. With 9 seasons so far and renewed for a 10th season, there’s a reason why it has so many viewers. Who doesn’t love the protagonists Sam & Dean that save the world fighting monsters? Beware this show is rollercoaster of emotions.
American Horror Story - Okay, this show is a little bit on the creepy side so if you are not a fan of scary things or get scared way too easy while watching scary movies, this show is not for you. On the other hand those who are scary-movie fanatics, have to watch this show. It has me literally glued to the TV while watching. It is super intense and what I love is that each season has a different theme but the same cast stars in it. Oh and what more can I say, one of the main reasons I watch it is because the unbelievably gorgeous Evan Peters.
Gossip Girl - Based in NYC’s upper east side, this show is everything. It revolves around the lives of teenagers who have it all, and two siblings who don’t and strive to become part of their clique. I can literally re watch old episodes and never get tired of watching it. There is a lot of drama that comes with this show, it can make you laugh and cry and wish you had their life. Also basically everyone dates each other throughout a point in the show.
Clueless - This movie is like the 90’s version of Mean Girls. If you feel like watching a chick flick, this is it. Cher will become your fashion icon after watching this film and you’ll fall in love with Paul Rudd. Cher, the protagonist, along with her best friend Dionne make it their life mission to transform a new girl, Tai and make her as popular as they are. At the end of this movie, you will catch yourself saying AS IF !
Bates Motel - A prequel to the 1960’s film Psycho, this show is about Norman Bates a teenager, and his mother Norma Bates starting a new life after the mysterious death of Norma’s husband. They move to White Pine Bay, Oregon after Norma buys a motel there. Norma is very protective of Norman and they have this abnormal relationship. Norma knows about a mental illness Norman has where he has blackouts and he kills people but doesn’t remember and she decides to keep it a secret from him and everyone else. Moving to White Pine Bay doesn’t do much help because the past comes back to haunt.
New Girl - Oh wow basically this show is a series of funny gifs you see on your tumblr dashboard. You will fall in love with the whole cast. It is based in L.A when Jess a teacher, moves into a loft with three other guys. The show shows their complicated lives and troubles and the crazy stuff they get into. You will become very familiar with the DOUCHEBAG JAR.
The Walking Dead - This show is action packed and will keep you on your toes. In a apocalyptic world, where zombies have invaded, live a small group of people who are fighting for their lives. Their leader Rick Grimes makes tough decisions, to keep everyone safe. Throughout each season they grow stronger, closer to each other, and they go through many horrible things, and troubles but they combat everything in order to survive.
Author’s Note: I recently had the chance to interview the lovely blogger behind the blog christiescloset. She is one of the biggest rising fashion icons, that you have probably seen while scrolling down your tumblr dashboard. We sparked up some questions for her, check out the interview below! Much Love xx
What inspired you to begin posting your own pictures and start blogging?
To be honest, I had no intentions on starting a fashion blog, all I had in mind was that I was going to post pictures that I took, more as a photo diary…its so weird, its like it happened over night and all the sudden I found myself posting ‘ootds’ and people asking questions..and before I knew it, it became the place where I put all my personal photographs and fashion inspirations. I’ve always been obsessed with fashion, but I never thought I could start my own blog dedicated to it! It’s insane, and totally unplanned, but I am so happy it worked out that way.
How would you describe your personal style?
Hm…its such a mixture, its almost annoying! I wish I had a clear-cut style…but I guess when it comes down to it I really lean towards grungy yet simple staple items, then add boho/indie details.
Favorite songs at the moment?
I’ve been listening to ‘Just One Day’ by the Mighty Oaks in the car nonstop, that’s a song you want to drive to…and then there’s ‘Let’s Dance To Joy Division’ by the Wombats, ‘Old One’ by Kids of Adelaide, ‘Stolen Dance’ by Milky Chance, and ‘Undo’ by the 1975…1975 always has to be on the list.
What does fashion mean to you?
Fashion…its how everyone presents themselves…whether they’re into it or not, and whether someone might admit or not, its the first thing that anyone physically see’s in another. It’s all about representing you and what you’re into, and I love that. Everyone has a different style, different look, different preferences…it literally makes the world go round. And to think that there is always something different and new coming up…it’s a beautiful thing!
What are your must haves this season?
I have been so into hats lately, I feel like I’m that crazy hat lady, not even kidding. I’ve been wearing tons of simple dresses, boho flowy pants, crop tops, crochet bralettes, graphic tanks, ripped jeans, and hats (of course).
What are your aspirations for the future?
I just want to be happy, really. I get so intimidated just thinking about the future…whatever happens will happen. Of course I would hope that big things will happen and I work with fashion the rest of my life, but only time will tell.
What do you love most about being a blogger?
It’s so amazing that people are interested in what I wear, to the point where they ask me questions and follow me and what not, I can’t wrap my head around it to this day hahaha…but its just so great to hear from everyone and listen to what they have to say and answer their questions…its literally the least I could do, and its just so cool to be able to talk to so many people, I love it.
"She was free in her wildness. She was a wanderess, a drop of free water. She belonged to no man and to no city."
What kind of advice would you give someone who is afraid/insecure of expressing their personal style?
You don’t want to look back on life and be like ‘wow, I wish I wore what I want and didn’t conform to a person’ because the worst thing is to have regrets like that…and now is the time to do exactly what you want; we are young, we are free, and people are so much more receptive to others who just express themselves, especially nowadays! Overall if you’re scared, conquering that fear will be so worth it, you won’t even think twice about what you’re doing. You will feel so much more confident in being you, I promise, it might be a little different at first…but when you’re strutting your stuff in an outfit you love and feel comfortable in, you’ll feel on top of the world. And you do that just once, you will not be afraid to do it again.
"You’ll need coffee shops and sunsets and road trips. Airplanes and passports and new songs and old songs, but people more than anything else. You will need other people and you will need to be that other person to someone else, a living breathing screaming invitation to believe better things." — Jamie Tworkowski

* Writer’s Note: So this idea sparked up in my mind, and it was intended to be a poem but it unraveled into a story. Hope you guys like it, I used second person because I wanted to try something new. Please let me know what you think of the story any comments are greatly appreciated. Much love! *
The smell of coffee as you walk in, searching for something more than just a book. You quickly run to that corner table you love so much, you feel the stares as you load the table with all the peculiar books you are interested in. The touch of the old pages bring you alive. You feel a speckle of sadness you didn’t find the book you hold so dearest.
As you’re reading you notice all the people walking in and out. Their faces are full of desperation and hope.
You are about to ask the bookshop owner the whereabouts of the book you’re looking for, but you see him locking eyes across the room with his wife.
A twinkle of love in his eyes.
You hope to find unwavering love like that one day.
The hours go by like seconds, your eyes are sore from all the reading. You hoped to find that special book you always come to read, but it seems to be missing. As you’re packing your stuff, you stumble upon the book you were so desperately looking for. You open it and with that a note with coffee stains falls out.
"You see, this is my favorite book too, I finally gathered the courage to steal it from you for one day."
You look up and a boy with smudged glasses is smirking at you.
