I found a few college photos from the Fall 2011 semester that I had originally hid from my Facebook wall due to embarrassment and shame.  Now I am happy that I have new “before” pictures to show how far I have come with my weight loss, healthy lifestyle and strength training.

I am unsure how much I weighed in the picture on the left but I can tell you that I was 157lbs the day I started and I am 127lbs as of two weeks ago. You can read more about my stats and my progress on my blog.

April 20, 2012 - 157lbs - 30 BMI - Size 10

April 1, 2013 - 127lbs - 24 BMI- Size 4

I’m a 29 year old 5’1” female and here is my progress from April 19th, 2012 to February 3rd, 2013.

Over 30% BMI to 24.8% BMI; 157lbs to 131lbs; size 10 to size 6; Size M to Size S.

All I did was regular exercise and clean eating.

How I spent my Sundays in 2012 were a lot different than how I spend them now. Last January I was obese, sick, stressed, lethargic and unhealthy. Around that same time I had kidney stones, a chronic sinus infection for 5 months (that took 4 rounds of antibiotics and a round of steroids to get rid of) and severe neck/back pain.

This season hasn’t been perfect I was treated twice for sinus infections (beginning of October and end of December) and I caught the flu for a week. But hey, I’m healthy not infallible. While being sick did slow down my weight loss progress it didn’t stop me. I finally made it to 132lbs in January and I’m officially in a “healthy weight range”

July 2012 and January 2014. Look how happy I am now compared to then! I’m now a ball of positive, healthy, happy, and good energy. It’s not that weight loss equates to happiness but making positive changes changed my life. I’m still a thick girl and not “skinny” but I’m beaming because I’m comfortable in my own skin, I’m proud of the goals I’ve reached, and I love myself. I’ve been committed to my health and working out since April 2012. I’m so proud of my progress. All together I dropped over 32lbs, half my pant size, and 10% of my body fat.
