Dunno if this was the name of the prologue. But, uhm… Yeah.
“Kuroko?” I asked
“Hello.” I spun around to see he had appeared behind me.
“Gah! Stop doing that!” I hissed.
“Sorry,” He said in his monotonous voice. I wish he would show his emotions more…
“Tch. Just get ready.” I jumped slightly as I shot the ball towards the basket. I ran up to the basket and caught the ball after it fell through the hoop.
“Hai.” I looked over to see him shooting the ball. I was confused for a moment, until I realized I needed to move. Fortunately, I had jumped to the side before the basketball could fall on me.
“O-Oi!” I growled angrily.
“Gomen,” He muttered, picking up another ball. He was acting… weird. As if he knew who we were up against. Just then, a group of girls walked in.
The one with red and black hair looked at me and stopped. She frowned and attempted to punch a giggling blonde, who dodged it with ease.
“See, Kasumicchi! I told you!” The blonde laughed. I looked at her and realized that she looked a lot like Kise.
“Sh-Shut up, Kimi,” The girl murmured. “Kimi” pouted and saw Kuroko. She frowned and turned to a taller girl with blue hair, murmuring something. I sighed and walked over to the bench.
“Did anyone else notice the similarities?” I asked no one in general. Hyūga nodded.
“Yeah, they’re a team of Aces,” He said.
dAS NOT WHAT I FUQKING MENT, HYUUGA, GODSDAMIT. I frowned and looked back at the girls. They were a team of Aces? I couldn’t help but scoff.
A girl with lighter hair and one golden eye - like Akashi - walked over. “Hi,” She said politely. “I’m Akane Sūmikō. I’m the captain of our team.” Hyūga’s eyes widened slightly.
“I’m Hyūga Junpei,” He said slowly. Akane nodded in response.
“Good luck!” She said as she turned to walk off. We both looked her up and down - we couldn’t help it - and saw a pair of red scissors in her back pocket. I sighed and walked over to Kuroko.
“You alright?” I asked. He nodded and sighed.
“It’s Kyako Tsukiko,” He said, motioning towards a girl with sky blue hair and eyes. “She can use misdirection as well. This won’t be easy…” His voice trailed off and I looked at the girl. She even looked a little like him.
We both spun around to find that blonde from before greeting us.
“I’m Kimikin Reikō! Nice to meet you!” I was surprised that she spoke in English.
“Nani?” Kuroko looked at me expectantly, waiting for me to translate.
“Oh, Gomen, I thought you both spoke English. I said ‘Nice to meet you!’” I frowned - this girl was way too perky. She was getting on my nerves. “I hope you play well!” She cheered before walking off.
“Tch. These girls are really pissin’ me off,” I growled. Kuroko didn’t look happy either. He sighed and looked at me, seeming nervous.
“Kagami-kun… I think we might lose.” I was shocked – Kuroko never gave up like that. I opened my mouth to speak, but he stopped me. “I’m not giving up, but these girls are a copy of the Generation of Miracles…” I looked up at them, seeing they were talking to Riko.
I hoped this would end well for us.
“What do you mean you don’t want to play!” Riko hissed.
“We can only have five members on the court, anyway. And I doubt they’d beat me,” Avaron said bluntly.
“They beat Aomine - !”
“I’m not Aomine.” There was a pause where Avaron glared at Riko in silence. “I’ll prove it,” She growled as she stomped off.”
“Great.” Riko looked at the rest of us. “Kasumi-chan, Masumi-san, Kyako-chan; you three are in,” Riko said. She looked at the last three of us, and I hoped she would pick me. “Kimikin-chan last.”
“YAY~!” I cheered.
“You’re benching me?” Akane asked. There was an angry red aura around her that caused me to take a few steps back.
“You’ll win easily,” Riko said with a sigh. “Against them the guys can try.”
“I think I should be offended by that,” Kasumi muttered as she walked away. Kyako quickly followed after her.
“I’m benched?” I looked up at the tall purple giant that had spoken
with a mouthful of nomnomnomnomnomnomnomnomnomnomnomnomnoms.
“You’re too good,” Riko frowned. “Sorry, Mitsuri-san.” Mitsuri sighed and walked off, Akane following to make sure she didn’t get into any trouble. I looked over at Masumi with a small smile.
“Hai!” I said as I followed her to the benches.
