The i.e.* Next Best Start-Up Competition is underway and awarding one lucky Richmond start-up a $10,000 cash prize plus a few other benefits. Sponsored by Tumblr, the organizers have given the public the power to pick the finalists! In 2011, i.e. was launched to transform the city of Richmond into a nationally-known creative location, and this competition is a way of keeping this momentum going. The competitors have been separated into 7 categories which include social impact, retail, and education.

Our good friends at Goatocado have our enthusiastic endorsement in the food category. Completely running off biodiesel, Goatocado is a low waste, socially conscious, vegan/vegetarian full sized mobile kitchen. They also make some of the best sandwiches I’ve ever been served!

Voters can vote once every 24 hours in each category until 11pm June 7th. Click here for more info and to vote!
