May 6th, 1937 - The Hindenburg zeppelin (LZ 129 Hindenburg) burst to flames while landing in New Jersey, USA, after a 3-day overseas travel from Frankfurt, Germany. A total of 36 people died in the tragedy, including passengers, on-board crew and ground crew.
