Well, a short story, actually. (Only 99 cents for some hot action if I do say so myself).
But it’s about Eli and Quinn and I’m excited to share it with readers. A little info about it.
Because sometimes you need a little reassurance on your happy ending.
Book 4.5 in the Bad in Baltimore series
When Eli found himself jobless and homeless a few months ago, his boyfriend Quinn invited Eli to move in. Quinn says he loves Eli and wants him there, but when problems from Eli’s homeless days show up in the form of extra house guests, Eli starts to worry. Maybe Quinn was only motivated by pity. Because pity comes with an expiration date Eli had hopes their relationship doesn’t.
As Eli pushes for security, Quinn has to find a way to make it very clear that he is determined to be everything Eli needs.
I’m a huge fan of Eli Wright and of the relationship he has with Quinn Maloney. From the moment Eli walked into Nate’s apartment in Bad Company, he has been impossible to ignore. He threatens to steal every scene no matter how few lines he has. The guy is not shy with his opinions.
One of the things I enjoy about writing these connected books is a chance to hang out with my old friends, er, characters. When I was writing Bad Influence, I got to hang out with Eli a lot, since circumstances forced Silver to move in with Eli and Quinn. Eli insisted on filling me in on how his life was going, right along with the story I was telling about Silver.
This short story is a companion piece to Bad Influence, or, as it’s called in fan fiction, a gap-filler. It covers what was going on in Eli and Quinn’s relationship between Chapters 18-21, which includes some hot, kinky sex. Eli and Silver each remember their conversation at the end of Chapter 18 differently, as we all often do.
If you’re just here for the sex, I’m delighted you stopped by. You shouldn’t have trouble following along, even if you haven’t read the other books.
This is for Eli and for all of us who love him. He’s one step closer to believing in what Quinn is offering. I know they will live happily ever after.
